What a Beauty. Crazy how different he is playing vs at the camp

  2. Night_Sky02

He’s an offensive defenseman. The Habs needs to use him in that role.

  3. How is Roy doing is he showing more implications or the same old preseason performance?

Mailloux seems to be on a mission in this game.

  4. Only reason Logan is not with the team is because that means Barron goes on waivers and it reminds everyone that Hughes got absolutely fleeced by Sakic in that trade.

Apart from the first 12 minutes, it’s been a rocket’s clinic.

If u expect Mailloux to be good on a bottom 6 pair it will not happen, guy need responsability and ice time

I was just at this game! The Rocket absolutely DOMINATED the baby Bs. I was one of maybe a dozen habs fans at this game, but it was still a lot of fun!

I will see him play tomorrow vs the Thunderbirds. Can’t wait!

Dominant in the AHL , can’t wait for him to find his grove in the NHL

I think a year or close to a full year in AHL will do him good.

He had a good season last year but I think he needs to stew a bit more and play with a big role in the AHL.

Once we pass TDL I can see him coming back up or next year.

Give him this year to play big hard minutes (giggity) in the A and his development will skyrocket, a few callups to the big club with Marty and Adam too.

Next season I’d expect him to be battling for and winning a spot in camp, he’s got all the ingredients to be a solid mid pairing option with a decent meanstreak and good shot. Can never have too many of those in the cupboard

Awesome goal by Mailloux! Offenive game is already NHL ready but the defensive side needs to catch up. As someone here mentioned, it’s not wise to put an offensive dmen on a 3rd pairing – especially with an under-developed defensive game. That won’t do the team or Mailloux any good. Timing for call up is not right but if he improves defensively he can push someone like Barron out quickly, especially as RHD.

  13. maybe copium but Mailloux is going to get better practice as a top pairing in the AHL than 3rd pairing NHL. I don’t mind it as long as he gets good minutes & shows improvement
