@Sabres de Buffalo

C’est le meilleur que les Sabres aient envisagé en 5v5 depuis des années et il est entraîné vers le bas par des équipes spéciales catastrophiques.

    Whether you care about analytics or not they’re scoring 55% of the real goals at 5v5. That would be their highest total in god knows how long.

    If the powerplay isn’t completely abysmal there is a strong chance they win last night and get at least a point against the Kings and one of the Devils games.

    The encouraging thing is that if they can get an even average powerplay their 5v5 play has been more than good enough to be a playoff team. These games have not been against easy opponents.

    Can someone decode these acronyms?  All I know if Goals For %

  3. The problem is that our PP has been terrible for a while now, so it doesn’t seem like there is going to be a major shift any time soon. They aren’t even making incremental improvements

    Not bad special teams, bad powerplay specifically. PK has been great outside of last night. Can’t be 0 for 15 on the powerplay though like jesus. They can’t even get in the zone.

    It’s almost like we should not have brought back the same guy that ran the powerplay last year (Matt Ellis)

    Does Ellis still run PP? If so he’s absolutely PPing his pants with the group.

    At some point we have to stop just accepting moral victories for this team as positives.
