Juulsen didn't do himself any favors yesterday.
But don't think the call up will make a dent.
People get fixated on Forbort's turnover-prone nature, but he was a premier shutdown/PK defensive defenseman with Boston. While the stats here don't show, he's a specialist at stopping shots at 5v5. I think with a dedicated mover like Brännstrom, the pairing could get a good bump.

Once Tocchet is done experimenting with line combos we could definitely see a massive uptick in defensive coordination. This is the same staff that turned Myers into a reliable second pairing guy. I have faith. If the Canucks are still struggling around Christmas, then something is very very wrong, but it doesnt seem nearly as bad as what Colorado's having right now.
The Canucks are 3 and 0 on the win-o-meter. So I am not concerned at all. God does this city ever get annoying when the Canucks dont win

Yay, it's early, but even Jeff Skinner scored the year after he signed his big deal. Heck, even Alexandre Daigle was productive after he was drafted and signed.

Desharnais had his pocket picked by Huberdeau and looked really slow game 1. Juulsen needs more ice to get the confidence up. He led the team in hits last year despite the load management. Wolanin never gets the call up if they want a puck mover. Ahl defender of the year.

Again; Tocchet has ruined his game. Let him play fast and loose, and give him less direction, not more.
