That sucks for him. He got rocked pretty hard.

I realize this makes me a bad person but I am actually a little happy he’s out of the lineup. I desperately want to see Coronato in an elevated role. I honestly have no idea what that guy is. He could be a 65 point scorer or a 40 point third liner.

  2. Not surprised. That was a huge hit. At least there is no pressure to rush him back too early

Hopefully Sharangovich is ready to go for Saturday. Easy to just slide him into where Honzek was playing without having to worry about sending anyone down.

I feel bad overall about this situation. He played with so much confidence in camp and really just needed a goal in the NHL to get the anxiety over with. Came so close so many times but just couldn’t get it.

Then got caught with his pants down going for a hit instead of bracing himself, not a dirty hit IMO but also not the type of hit that you’d expect in the minors.

I hope he has a speedy recovery and manages to turn it around. Fingers crossed he still has some jump to his game post injury and doest play scared.

that sucks damn. kuz-kadri-coronato now tho⁉️

Damn. Always worries me when a young guy goes down early in their nhl tenure like this. Never know how it’s going to affect a player’s confidence and/or stall their development. Hopefully it’s not too serious and he can continue building up his strength while sidelined.

  7. Klapka gets back in the lineup. No rush for Sharky to come back prematurely. I think Coronato deserves to move up, although there is chemistry on that 4th line.

  8. The silver lining is that this opens up a spot for Coronato on Kadri’s line, giving him more ice time. Klapka slots back into the 4th line, and we keep rolling.

I remember watching that hit and him skating off. Goes to the corner of the bench and smashes his stick on the board. Honzek was not happy. I didn’t know it led to an injury. Rough

It was an extremely hard hit he took… His head whipped pretty badly into the ice. Like without a helmet he’s dead 100% hard. Hopefully this isn’t a neck, back or head injury.. but it likely is.

Maybe a silver lining is he won’t make that mistake again. Trying to finish a hit half heartedly in the NHL is not an option.. this is one of the reasons why kids need time in the AHL. Hopefully his career isn’t derailed by this.

  11. A “welcome to the NHL” moment he’ll never forget

Ah this sucks. Hope its a quick recovery for him 🙏 Will see how this mixes things up.
