The guy who did this probably went to Macau City of Dreams. In front of washroom is a ring in front of picture. It was built before the blue ring.

Ok. Here’s the thing. I also used to be a hater of the big blue ring. I don’t really care that the creators tell me it’s an engineering marvel. BUT someone argued with me that the problem is not the art itself but the location. If they had put the big blue ring down on Stephen Avenue, a ton of people would interact with it, take selfies, post it on social media and it would be a much more interesting, cool thing. So the problem isn’t the art itself. It’s where it is that makes people hate it so much. Because it does look stupid out there especially since they needed to add those rabbit ears to it for illumination.

The Big Blue Ring was the worst piece of public art the city has. I believe it was dethroned by the crap that is by the overpass near Canada Olympic Park.
