  1. I'd quote Ross Colton on the big surprise list. He's always been a more than decent very useful player ok, but 6 goals in his first 6 games ? One could've bet on that for Caufield and even for him we'd have rated that bet as pretty wild. But Colton ? No way !

  2. The jets are a good team but playoffs is something else doesn’t matter how many you win in the regular season. playoffs are different look at the bruins going crazy and setting a record for the most wins then come playoff time…..

  3. Hey remember when the Jets looked like a power house of the west going into the playoffs that many people predicted could actually win the cup, or at the very least go on a very deep run? Pepperidge Farms remembers. They could go 82-0 and it doesn't matter, the playoffs you're all set to zero, and with how awful they dropped against Colorado last year, they have a lot to prove, and only in the playoffs can they do that.

  4. Stamkos can play 16 Min a night on PP1. Marchy I'd no Kuch. Don't forget Point. Stamkos doesn't play C anymore but might as well have him C Filip and Gustav.

  5. Appreciate your confidence in the Jets, but you have been covering hockey for years and KNOW that the Jets usually start out well. Many of the REAL Top teams are re-jigging and experimenting, etc… so they start off slow. The Jets lineup is virtually unchanged. The other teams will get it together and heat up and then it will look like the Jets are falling off / struggling, but in reality they just aren't an elite team. The Elite teams will figure it out and get it together and the Jets will limp into the playoffs and bow out in the first round like usual. BTW, I'm from WPG, a Jets fan for life, but it's the reality of a team with very little grit and substance. A lot of skilled players who just can't hang with the BIG BOYS. 😵

  6. Nashville needs to have a team concert trip be cancelled by management then they'll start winning again! 😁

  7. Should the Red Wings drop some of the more veteran d-men and have the prospects play the season? Like Buium and Sandin-Pellika

  8. Jets have an "easy" schedule, as Jets fan i looked at october and only 2 games worried me. 10-2-0 is possible but not because the Jets are good, just who they play. Lets see how the mid january plane crash goes, this team has hurt me too many times for much optimism. Still mad they are not playing the kids.

  9. sorry my question is a little late but what do you think the penguins are going to do with Tristan Jarry? I feel like Blomqvist has done enough to earn the starting role and Ned isn’t healthy.

  10. I'm not quite sold on the Jets quite yet. They've had some impressive wins, namely Edmonton, but I'd like to see how Winnipeg does against Colorado and Dallas before I pass judgment.

  11. As a Jets fan, I'm not sold on them yet. This is an ongoing theme for the past 2 seasons, crushing it to begin, then slumping near the end. Everytime they are challenged they back off. If they can have a season where they don't falter in the 2nd half then I would be sold on them.

  12. Biggest surprise: Jordan Eberle with 5 goals in 6 games
Biggest disappointment: Stamkos. Or Jeremy Swayman.

  13. Jets fan here, I think anyone saying our record is what it should be is right, but we don’t control our schedule so you play what you’re given. I don’t think we are a 1st round out, I also don’t think we win the cup either. Have to wait and see I guess. GJG!

  14. The season is a marathon. All 32 teams will have their ups, their downs. They will all slump, they will all win. The main thing is to keep an even keel and skate hard every game. To stick to your structure when down 3 goals. To out compete all your opponents and play your game better than your opponent plays theirs. – When your team makes the playoffs, they are Stanley Cup hopefuls. Go Jets!

  15. I am a Winnipegger and I love the jets, but come on, eventually they will lose a game or three, and when that happens, I'm sure lots of people will lose their sh*t, start calling to fire Arny, Chevy, the goalies, all the forwards and the zamboni driver. Lets not set unrealistic goals for people playing in a punishing game, and lets just enjoy the run they are having.

  16. Yes of fcking course your Winnipeg jets are cup bound plan the parade plan the whiteout ids finally our year (we need a banner for the last team undefeated through 5 games in the 24-25 nhl season)

  17. 0:27 You’re overthinking it. Matt Duchene at 1yr x 3 million is once again the best free agent signing.

  18. Toffoli for 6 million is too much, but he's a decent player for sure, not a bad addition to any team, just not for 6 million at his age.

  19. The jets could win 82 games this year and I would still be very nervous about how they perform in the playoffs, just saying.

  20. will stammer continue to be underwhelming or will he pick up his pace. And also GO JETS GOOOO

  21. So funny how going into EVERY SEASON. WITHOUT FAIL. the media and the internet debate if the jets will even make PLAYOFFS. and every single season, the jets prove them wrong. I can already tell what the replies to this will be about the playoffs but if you know what you’re talking u won’t bring it up

  22. Ken Holland signing Nurse to that horrendous contract has just completely sewered their chances of building a true powerhouse. If he were making 6-7 mil like he was worth when he signed that contract they would have been able to sign Broberg and their d core would look completely different

  23. The headline after the jets win the cup will FEED FAMILIES. "Winnipeg Jets the 1st team in NHL history to go 82-0 in regular season and 16-0 in playoffs"

  24. Jets always take off 1st half then it's crash burn the AV's ran them over last year D's too small but I still hope for the best best 3rd line in hockey!

  25. Stamkos contract signing with Nashville reminds me exactly of the Vincent Lecavalier signing with the Flyers

  26. What do you think are the next steps for the 2014 OHL scandal? Do you think the 2018 case was the peak or was that just the beginning?

  27. EDM: They just did a horrible job in assessing their assets and managing them. Ofc Broberg is different, playing with Payreko, a great veteran D, but if remember that the Oilers traded away Kesselring against Bjugstadt they have lost 2 legit young top 4 Ds, despite having a huge need on RD.
Their D could look like this:
    Ekholm – Bouchard
Nurse – Kesselring (signed for 1,4m over this and next season)
    Broberg – Kulak
    Stecher
That would be a really strong unit and they could have done it cap wise. Broberg was projected in a 1,8 -2,3m range, Holloway was projected 1,2 – 1,5m, so either Arvidsson or Jeff Skinner would not be around, but it would still look dangerous:
    Skinner – MCD – Hyman
    RNH – Drai – Holloway
    Janmark – Henrique – Brown
    Podkolzin – Ryan – Perry

The Oilers just did lousy with 2 young Ds that would be so valuable for them with their subpar D, and it`s a big miss by Holland and Bowman.
    Should have never happened.

  28. Hey brother! Long time subscriber here. Love the content! Keep up the good work! Just a word of advice be sure to give all these videos a full listen through before posting them. You've had a couple in a row now that have had multiple glitches. Sounds like you're doing great work pulling the selects and then just forgetting you have multiple takes in the timeline before you publish. A quick listen through before posting might help ya catch a few of these. Keep up the great work! Love it!

  29. how crazy is it that every year, there are at least 2 teams that 'go all in' and nothing works and some teams are trying to basically tank… and it actually works. Not signing broberg was a massive, massive mistake, not just the not signing, but not identifying the talent for a couple years.

  30. Yep, the Oilers should have matched the offer sheets for Holloway and Broberg–they have had an immediate impact with the Blues.

  31. Hopefully the Jets won’t start adding guys like they did last year. All it did was ruin the chemistry. Adding Monahan to tFoley just made us a softer team.
