  1. Back in the day players removed their lids before a scrap so they wouldn't injure their hands when throwing fists. If one dude has no helmet the other dude should remove theirs as well, keeping it on should be considered as bad as turtling.

  2. I will tell you right now Carbery better not pull McIlrath out of the lineup when Roy gets back this dude is the heart of the Caps right now.. The team knows it and the fans know it.

  3. Great fight. Trading blows evenly. Deslauriers with a cut under the eye. McIlrath bleeding heavily out his nose & had to go down the tunnel for repairs.

  4. As a fan of 70s and 80s hockey, that’s not a hockey fight and not interesting. Fighting used to be spontaneous, not two idiots taking off equipment and staring at each other for 5 seconds. Staged fights shouldn’t be part of the sport; both those two should have been given misconducts along with majors.

  5. Deslauriers was never the toughest heavyweight when there was heavyweights in the league, just when they all left

  6. Such a good move putting McIlrath on the roster. Takes the enforcing responsibility off Tom Wilson and look how that's turned out so far

  7. at the end it looked like both had respect for each other and had a big smile like that was fun .

  8. This is why all other sports suck. It's literally embarrassing to see someone be slightly bumped in basketball and go down like they got shot.
