And put Tavares and Marner on the second PP. #1 PP: Mathews, Nylander and Knies with Tanev and OEL on point, with more focus on point shots while Knies battles net front. Matthews doesn't sound like a captain, he needs to be more about the team now. He's always been about his own stats, like Marner and Willy. If he's going to be captain he needs to be about the team first. His sound bites don't come across like a captain material..

Lol Mitch, come on man. The PP has NOT been working. Too predictable, Too fancy, not enough shots. One positive change is OEL on the blue line….nothing against Mo, but OEL can seem to keep it in the zone better than Mo. And, he can snipe it pretty good from the line as well.

Why is matthews down low on the pp , the best shot in the league in a corner ?? I get he opens up but that one timer option should always always be something that the opposition will need to be afraid of which in turn opens up other areas

Mitch Marner has never played a direct game in his life. But just keep doing what you're doing because it works so well in the playoffs
Marner and Rielly have been the problems with the PP forever. They finally got OEL to replace Rielly who is quicker with the puck in the neutral zone, a smarter passer, better shot and less predictable.
Marner is also slow through the neutral zone and predictable like Rielly was. Both don’t have a shot so they aren’t threats.
New coach new systems, it's going to take 15-20 games to get use to it
Who decides which players are available for these scrums? Is Marner volunteering? I don't recall him doing these as often as he has this year. I get that Matthews is doing them, it's part of the captain's job.
