  1. Hope not. Can’t stand them, nor Boston or Washington or Toronto.

Maybe they’ll hire Mike Babcock, who’ll want to check Michkov’s iPhone and he’ll pack his bags. 💼

  2. Speaking as a fan since 1080, the franchise is dead and unsalvageable. Ruined by a trio of increasingly incompetent GMs with the kinds of incompetence- Bobby Clarke and Paul holmgren – pulling the strings. They won’t be good for an extremely long time

  3. I have Morgan Frost, Owen Tippett and Travis Sanheim in my dynasty pool. They've been showing promise for years without taking that next step. Should I keep them? Who should I drop? Dilema

  4. So last year wasn't about "this season", this year isn't about "this season" so what year is it going to be about "this season"? This won't fly for long in Philadelphia.

  5. I would guess the Flyers will never return to genuine contender status as long as they're owned by Comcast. Big media companies owning a team is not good news. The Leafs are doing OK, but not great in that they haven't come close to winning anything since being taken over by Rogers. The examples I think of are in baseball, the Yankees and Dodgers. Both teams had the worst stretches in their modern history when owned by big media: the Yankees by CBS and the Dodgers by the LA Times. The big companies look at them as just another TV program and don't care if they win or lose. If the Flyers are drawing enough ratings to satisfy Comcast's front office, they don't care if they lose the next 75 games.

  6. Rubbish team. Horribly mismanaged since 2013.
    🙁
Really mis the flyers roster from 2009-10 with Pronger, Timonen, Carter, Richards & Briere!

  7. Not only do they suck, but the development has tailored off too. Turns out trial-by-combat isn’t a great way to get young guys going.

  8. I have been trying to figure out why the Flyers suck right now. Pressure might be the answer. they were expected to suck last year and they definitely weren’t the worst. Now this year they have the addition of Michkov and some others, im sure they are all feeling the pressure to be better than they were. They are in their heads, i think they have talent just gotta find their groove (🤞)

  9. Thank you for the video about this really bad Flyers team. On the bright side, Michkov is great and we are in line for the #3 overall pick

  10. Torts is constantly juggling lines. Flyers have no continuity and players seem to be confused. Torts is always talking about structure, but they are playing unstructured hockey. They are often out of position and do not cover the gaps in the ice. Many games this year I see all three forwards within ten feet of each other in the offensive zone. This leaves huge chunks of ice uncovered. If they do dig out the puck there is no one to pass to. If the puck gets shot around the other team gets an easy break out and forwards are caught. I don't understand why pro players get mesmerized by the puck like you see at the youth level. Frustrating to watch.

  11. good summary of a mediocre team getting off to a horrible start. Puts a ton of pressure on Briere to try to improve this roster. They can't get it done with all the draft picks they have this coming year….that path will take forever and so many teams have gotten better by bringing in veteran talent. (and i'm not looking for 30+ year olds but guys with a few years experience in their mid 20s)

  12. The team just doesn't have the same feel or look to it. The games being played on Coots is garbage. Last year they over played which is fine but seems like they need to have that attitude ahain.

  13. As a Flyers fan this year is going to be tough. First the defense is absolutely terrible they are soft don't hit anyone or clear the crease of players and always put them selves into bad spots. Zamula, Risto and San need to be scratched there are a few Dmen in LV that play better D. Penalties they are second in the league however their penalty kill is 2nd best which is crazy. This roster is filled with a ton of bottom 6 guys playing in top 6 roles there is no 1 or 2 center. Nobody but TK and Tipp go to the net Mich dishes passes all day to the front of the net and there is never anyone there other than TK or Tipp if they are on the ice together. Coots I'm afraid his best years are behind him and he'll be lucky if he gets 25 points this year. The Flyers are going to need to get rid of some of the dead weight they are carrying. If they can land a top 3 pick this years draft and get rid of some guys at the deadline they might be able to speed up this rebuldn and build around Mich, TK and Tipp.

  14. You are dead wrong here Shannon. Coots as been the only player with any effort every game besides Ersson. His offensive touch is gone thanks to the injuries but his faceoff ability and defensive prowess has been great still. And Ersson has been amazing. How is it his fault guys like Zamula, Drysdale and Johnson are allergic to defense?

And for the record I still don't like Torts as coach.

  15. I’m a former Flyers season ticket holder of 25 years and the organization is a shit-show and has been for over a decade.

They keep making the same mistakes year after year. They give out terrible long-term contracts so we constantly have cap problems. We usually finish middle of the pack or a bubble playoff team so they rarely get a chance to draft a true superstar. We are supposedly in a rebuild but have a Head Coach that alienates players along with the Captain last when he scratched him. We have missed the playoffs 8 of the last 12 years and the only player on this roster that can truly be a legitimate top line player is Michkov. Ed Snider would be rolling over in his grave.

  16. Michkov is without a doubt the MVP. Player I’d like to see more from is Couturier but I’m wondering if that ability is there anymore.

  17. for a team thats in a rebuild and looking at the long term, its really worrying when every single player looks worse than last season.

as for tippett, im tired of people praising tippett. i feel like i say this every year… he's not "cursed". he's just not as skilled everyone (including himself) thinks he is. its not the hockey gods frowning upon him. its his inability to pick the right shot for the moment. doesnt matter whether you shoot 50 or 500 softballs at an nhl goalie. theyre stopping it 100% of the time.

sanheim/york getting the most icetime doesnt surprise me. consistent mediocrity will almost always beat out the 'sometimes good sometimes terrible' guys. especially on a young team who hasnt found their rhythm yet…
