Kane wants to play his own way. The way he wants to play is like last year which cost us a lot of games because we couldn't defend properly. Kane wants points and nothing else. Doesn't care about playing winning hockey. The way lalonde wants them to play is playoff hockey

wow after watching that, not good for Lalonde. they are both trying to be diplomatic at the start or they keep throwing out little things trying to distance themselves from what they are saying ("I think Copper said it all; not much to add to that" "I'm not up here complaining, I'm just saying what happened"), but then both keep just bashing him. Hilarious postgame.

Wings played like a minor league team. Kane is right, but with Lalonde the odds are against the Wings doing anything this year. A coach needs to demand a lot more from his players. Don't think Lalonde does that. Lalonde should be coaching in the Midget league, not in the NHL….

If the Wings don't make the playoffs, and if Seider doesn't become an all around player like the prominent defensemen in the league who are much more balanced on at both ends of the rink than Seider is, Seider will continue to get bad publicity. Don't care if he's playing 26 min of hockey a game, if Seider can't generate enough offense for the club, kiss that $8.55 mil a year goodbye….. He's not good at all with the puck and can't play consistently well in the O-zone. I would trust Edvinnson over Seider in a heartbeat….. German players aren't that great to begin with, anyway.
First period was the best period we’ve played all year. The forecheck was exactly how we need to play. Johansson looked good out there. Kasper looks great. Winnipeg gonna be the biggest challenge yet.
personal opinion warning
Reading between the lines, it seems some players are frustrated with how Newsy goes full turtle with even the smallest lead. In any sport or game, you want to impose your will instead of reacting to what your opponent is doing. Once you're on your heels, you have already lost. Newsy needs to adjust because this team is all offense.

Hockey fans, newer redwings fan. Got into it 3 years ago. Is this a bad take to have of why blame the coach or owner if its the players that play like crap? Kane is washed. Cat misses half the shots he takes. Sieder is good but inconsistent. Is it really the coachs fault? Like the dump and chase is that game style on the coach?
Well all I’m saying is ever since July 1 Quenneville has been on the coaching market cough cough.
How can Lalonde be celebrating this point? It was a clearly winnable game, we're looking like the wings on a losing streak from last December. Win One period, lose the other two.
