@Flames de Calgary

1. weird for people that expect them fail. If we look at the rosters. They are solid and the play as a team.

  2. With each win, the tension and pressure builds for the team to keep it up. Hopefully they can brush it off and just keep rolling.

  3. Flames are 4-0 and will be 5-0 after Saturday's game in Seattle . Soon Sharangovich will be back and Honzek will be sent down to the Wranglers!!

  4. You know, with maybe a couple holes on D and goaltending still to be proven, when you look at the Flames vs the cap and what they have in $ to spend they are actually kinda stacked. $17.8mm in space and Sharangovich slotting in might be another point per game. Value for money.

  5. So. Conny. Huska's Hustlers. It starts from the top. Great piece Pike, thanks for the Marky callback because goalies are on everyone's mind. Marky finished #32 out of 64 goalies last year. Be slightly better than 50% and our goaltending has improved lol. Great piece.

  6. Before the season started, I told a friend I thought the Flames were gonna win the cup this year, & my friend agreed! There's a number of positive things coming together all at once, but I think the real key is that Connie & Huska are both really great human beings. They clearly care about other people, and that makes all the difference – it makes them better at their jobs and gives them more insight into who should be playing where and when.

  7. If the rebuild isn't as long as our veterans think, it might be even more painful for us. I'm concerned that there's still no elite talent on this roster. Where's your legit #1 center or your elite PMD? Can you win a Cup without those? How many Cup winners of this era didn't have top 3 draft picks contributing in major roles? You could maybe make a case for the '19 Blues (Pietrangelo was #4), but is that your model? After that you're looking back to the Dynasty Red Wings to find a winner that didn't…

    Sure, a rebuild isn't a guarantee of success, but its the most consistent path to a Cup in this era.

  8. It's simple, they feel no pressure, nothing matters, they are expected to lose.
    Huby feels no pressure, he is free, no more having to live up to his contract, he is loose and feels good.
    Edmonton on the other hand are expected to win, the pressure is ON!
    They are expected to win, they have to live up to the billing!
    Pressure is a big deal………
