As a Wing fan I love Gallant, and want him to find success in life.
But I can’t find it in me to root for the Rangers. 🤢
Anyways, I’m a little jealous. Before his back injury Gallant was basically a more talented version of Tyler Bertuzzi. Could put up the points and was a tough scrappy player.

20ish years ago i played on his son’s hockey team for a few years just before he was hired by the columbus blue jackets. He was the coach of the local AHL team at the time, and he would occasionally show up at our practices and teach us little things here and there off to the side but was always super respectful of our coach and never undermined him in any way. Seemed like a really nice guy. My dad got to know him a bit better than I did and had only nice things to say. I have always really wanted to see gerard win a cup.
