[Pope] Jake McCabe sera absent 10 à 12 semaines après avoir subi une opération de la colonne cervicale, selon les Blackhawks. Cela place son retour dans la première quinzaine de décembre.
Jake McCabe will be out 10-12 weeks after undergoing cervical spine surgery, per Blackhawks. That puts his return in the first half of December.
Tough break for McCabe, who missed almost all of 2021 with Buffalo too. But it opens up a D spot for Mitchell/Regula/Vlasic/etc.

The Johnson signing makes more sense now.
Jesus, spine surgery sounds rough.
Dang, I feel bad for McCabe. He’s better than he showed last season IMO and now doesn’t really have the opportunity to redeem himself. I hope he has a full recovery & returns the league.
On the bright side, it opens up a spot to have some prospects get some games.

Damn, hope he heals up. Opens up a spot for a younger guy now.
Probably why they didn’t trade him.
Why if it was something that’s been lingering does he wait till a week before training camp to get surgery?? The season ended in April if he had surgery then he would be back now….
