L’histoire des Panthers de la Floride, édition 2022

Ils cherchent toujours une autre course vers la finale, mais au moins ils ont commencé à gagner pendant la saison régulière. Peut-être que leur premier championnat n’est pas si loin. 1. i happen to be a big aves fan, and the first nhl game i got to go see was the second aves florida game during the cup finale, it was amazing florida was really good but they ran into a machine in the finales, could you imagine what the 96 aves team would put up in points during this time frame in the nhl insane, also i really liked vanbeezs goalie mask and equipment some of the best all time that panthers mask he wore in the finales, i also got peter forsbergs autograph on my kids sized jersey it was amazing

  2. Huberdeau is arguably the greatest Panther forward of all-time, but I feel like if 613 points and 671 games is all it takes to retire a number, you're setting the bar a bit low. People complained in Vancouver when Naslund's number was retired and he had 756 points in the dead puck era.

  3. I would love to see a Robert Svehla career video one day. He had a pretty great career for a guy who only played 655 games and notably shocked the hockey world by retiring after posting a 45 point season with the Leafs in 2003.

  4. Miami has been a notoriously poor sports town for a long time. Moving there wouldn't help the team at all.

  5. They are opening a brand new state of the art practice facility near Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Most of the players live in that same area as there is a lot more nightlife and things to do for the younger demographic rather than further west in the suburbs where the current arena is now in Sunrise. The light rumor is that they will be building a new arena for the team in the future in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. Most of the fanbase is north of Miami in Broward and Palm Beach County. South Florida is so large north/south and Fort Lauderdale would likely be a good center point for most of the fanbase to get to games. Especially, when fighting rush hour traffic during the week.

  6. First watched Cats in earnest when Gerard Gallant was coaching..enjoyed the playoff series vs Isles..Tavares the game stealer..

  7. For South Florida fans being amongst the most fair weathered fan base in the whole continent it comes down to winning. There were a couple of regular season games that the house was packed this past season cos they were winning. If the Panthers can (and should) be among the top 3 in the Atlantic this upcoming season the attendance should not vary much. I love the fact that this team FINALLY has a direction and a GM that wants to win. Guys actually want to come and play here now. If the Tampa Bay Lightning could make hockey work in Florida, there’s no excuse as to why this franchise can’t do the same as long as they continue the consistency of yes key word again… winning.
