  1. This video can be taken in many ways……………..
Just don't upload it, the Blackhawks and the Canada organization are absolute garbage.

  2. Sad to see a once proud franchise in the gutter lol but it wouldn’t be the first time for them

  3. My Dad was friends with Stan Makita, Both came from Slovakia and lived in the Niagara region for a while. Dad spoke about how much of a gentleman Stan was.

  4. Of course it's absolutely terrible what happened to Kyle Beach and how cowardly the front office acted in response, but I'm so sick of people blaming Toews, Kane and Keith for the front office's failure to do the right thing. If you actually read the report, it explains that Beach didn't even practice with the main roster as he was a Black Ace/Prospect from the Rockford Icehogs who had their own separate practice rink per page 22. The bullying Beach experienced happened at the Prospect camps and the Icehogs' practices, neither of which the main Blackhawks roster attended. Jake Dowell was Beach's team captain who failed to stop the bullying, not Toews.
Also, not everyone on the 2010 team actually knew what happened during the cup run, as Brent Sopel could not provide any evidence for his initial accusation of "everyone" knowing per page 52/53, and he retracted it on both his Twitter and on the Donnie & Dhali podcast shortly after Beach came forward. Sopel also said on the Chi Sports Weekly podcast last May that the 2010 Blackhawks were the closest knit team he ever played for in large part thanks to Toews' leadership. Beach even liked a tweet last March commemorating the anniversary of Toews' first career hat trick, so it wouldn't make any sense for Beach to like a tribute tweet to Toews if he (Toews) was somehow complicit in the cover up. Because again, he wasn't.

The Blackhawks organization is a hot mess right now and obviously has a long way to go before fixing their reputation, but the vilification of the players like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith needs to stop, because it wasn't their fault.

  5. Chicago was once a proud organization. Now with the controversies and mismanagement and kane leaving. This is a disgrace

  6. The Blackhawks dark years were 1997-2007, and its been back to the dark ages since 2017. It'll be bad now because Rocky's son is now running the team, and he's a woke twerp for firing Pat Foley like he did for those reasons. He doesn't get it. The Kyle Beach incident aside, the Hawks have been a great organization. Its sad and speaks volumes about people how they see one incident over one playoff season let someone think the Hawks are evil and need to be destroyed.

  7. Got to meet Stan Makita at a Hawks game back when they were still playing in the old barn. Talked to me for about 10 minutes. Came back to my seat, and my grandpa asked if I had asked for his autograph. Went back and asked. He asked if my grandpa wanted one, too. I said no, you're his favorite Hawk player, and he already has a jersey, puck and a card you were nice enough to sign for him. He laughed and we talked another few minutes. What a class act!

  8. I have a lot of respect for the Chicago Blackhawks, My grand mother grew up in the 60s going to as many Blackhawks games as she could. The entire reason my family has a love for hockey is for her, she always said her favorite memories were when she was right by the ice, watching Stan Mikita do his thing. She was able to see them win a cup in 1961 when she was 11. She waited for another 50 years for the cup in 2010. That's what you call dedication lol. She still loves them, and I will always have a special place for them in my heart even with the bad management now. (Preds are better though)

  9. Beyond the Seth Jones debacle. The Blackhawks look like their heading in the right direction. They won't be winning for a few years but they will be worth watching.

  10. I believe that Thibault had the final wins in the Montreal forum (as a Canadien) and Maple Leaf gardens (as a Hawk) underrated at times but a pretty decent middle range goalie.

  11. I highly recommend the recent "Blackhawks Talk" podcast featuring Troy Murray. He has been close to Toews and Kane throughout, and had some interesting insights as to whether or not they're going to stick around. One should not automatically assume that either of them is headed out the door, especially Kane. Both of them are going to give the new coaching staff a chance before they make up their minds. Kane might decide to stick around and chase Stan Mikita's record, and mentor the prospects.

  12. Enduring Blackhawk memory: Stan Mikita standing on the penalty box bench serenading/conducting, I believe, the Madison Square Garden after being assessed a penalty for, as far as the Garden faithful were concerned judging by the torrent of boos and abuse he was receiving, an egregious foul, with a huge grin on his face. It was at the height of his "badboy" phase, before he did an amazing 180 and went on to win the Art Ross (4 times) and Patrick and Hart (twice) and Byng (twice). I remember him most when I read what Bobby Hull said about him…"pound for pound, the greatest hockey player who ever played. He was tougher than a night in jail." Stan Mikita was 5'9" and 159 pounds in his playing days.

  13. They were a special group, they hadn’t won for decades then in 6 years they doubled their Stanley Cup total. Unfortunately they couldn’t keep it going like Pittsburgh.

  14. United Center is built on the grounds of Chicago Stadium " It's just a corporate thing. Nobody mentioned" Doug Wilson ? Great Defenseman.

  15. I wonder why Hossa's number was retired, although he was a great player, but I don't see him as great as those three other 2010-15 dynasty players.

  16. The Hawks and the Rangers have won the least cups out of the original six. ….both franchises were the worst of the SIX… always.

  17. Yay we better remember the gold old days for awhile, don’t think they’re coming back for a fighting shot anytime soon

  18. I feel badly that Toews and Kane are basically going to be forced to leave because the organization wants a clean slate. I thought they would both retire as Blackhawks but that looks unlikely. Kane should have eventually been the greatest Blackhawk ever. Makes me sad.

  19. Weird specific stat: The Hawks haven't lost a series clinching game while ahead since like the 60s. If they are winning a series, they're almost always going to win it in 6 games.

  21. Steve Larmer (#28) should be in the hall of fame. He was one of the best power forwards in the world in the golden era of power forwards.
