I really don't see why you dont just skate to the bench 20 feet away to get a new stick instead of just standing there with no stick. 20 seconds out of the play and 5 on 3 seems better than 5 on 3.5 for the rest of the play.

We (Bruins) may have lost that game, but it was a damn well-played game. Coach made his money last night with the mess he was handed and forced to organize productive lines. All in all, a great game by the B's.
As a B's fan, GG Detroit and I'm glad Ned got a win with 50 saves, he's had a really rough run lately. B's have had a great run since the start of the year and one of the best in the league, these games for us need to be won though. We're good at putting shots on goal and not always great at getting them to the back of the net. This loss set us back up for a top divisional faceoff in the Playoffs which is definitely not where we want to be. Need to get above Tampa and stay there at a minimum. Also good to see a bit of biff in the game, definitely wish the NHL showed more hits and scraps in the highlights rather than goals from 5 angles and missed shots. The end of this match was great
