Could tell 5 minutes in, Oilers came in lazy and cocky. Deadly mix in the playoffs. I was very close to falling into their trap of looking in control. But then I remember the history… Love the Oilers, but much respect to the Kings!
This is what the Kings needed to do. The defense isn't that good so the offense is the best defense. Get under the skin of the Oilers and their offense plays sloppy. Quick seems to be dailing in and learning how to read the plays.
I see the pattern. In game 1 Kings won 4-3 at Edmonton. Game 2 Oilers shutout the Kings 6-0. Game 3 at Los Angeles, Oilers won 8-2. Game 4 Kings returned the favor by shutting the Soilers 4-0. Keith tipped the puck in past Mike Smith on the 2nd goal. Series are 2-2 tied. Who is going to win game 5? It's a tough call. I don't know.
The first round of the playoffs this year has been a fantastically wonderful surprise – these match-ups have been producing exciting games and NO one got swept like some of us thought they would – NHL hockey is my FAVORITE pro sport !!!!!!
