What needs to happen is, they need to erase every trace of this guy ever playing here. What a colossal embarrassment and huge mistake this all was… and for NOTHING. They literally tarnished the reputation and dignity of the franchise by losing on purpose, then didn't even get the guy they wanted, then he proceeds to be miserable for almost a decade and is now leaving like he never wanted to be here and is alright if the place burned to the ground and everyone died. He will NEVER be back for any Alumni events or special franchise celebrations. You can Danny Briere me all day and I'll raise you one Chris Drury… that guy is a former captain who wouldn't even record a quick 15 second video for the Sabres 50th anniversary celebrations… he hates us and we hate him. Same damn thing will happen with this guy, i won't even say his name. Just an absolute waste. Generational forwards who can take control of the game only come around for a team once every 30 or so years… it's gonna be a long time before we have another opportunity like this. Just need to block out that it ever happened.

He is absolutely going to be the league MVP in his first full year in Vegas. I’ve never been more confident of anything else.
Anyone who doesn’t think this is a possibility is either a bitter Sabres fan or has never watched this kid actually play. If he was on a team with any actual talent or leadership, he already would’ve been the league MVP multiple times in his career.
