La ville de Glendale en a fait un fait lorsqu’elle a annoncé que le bail des Coyotes à la Gila River Arena, propriété de la ville, ne serait pas renouvelé après 2021-2022. Si vous savez quelque chose sur la franchise, il n’est guère choquant de voir les Coyotes à la croisée des chemins. Les résultats misérables sur la glace et l’instabilité à l’extérieur en sont venus à définir la franchise Sun Belt. The point of the NHL is to make money, Quebec is not it. Houston makes sense Texas is huge & way richer than Quebec.

Let the Coyotes stay in Arizona not somewhere in the 2022-2023 NHL Season. They got a good desert rivalry with the Vegas Golden Knights. Even the Coyotes & the Golden Knights have not played in the Postseason yet. But they almost did in the 2020-2021 NHL Season. I been there before when the NBA Sacramento Kings almost went two different cities, first with Anaheim in 10 years ago and Seattle in 2013. Now the NBA Sacramento Kings are playing in the 5 year old Golden 1 Center. Now in the NBA's 75th Diamond Anniversary Season I hope the NBA'S Kings can avoid another negative number, that would be not going to the NBA Postseason for a 16th time.
I like the picture of Tucson that he calls Tempe, haha. Go Cats! If you live in AZ you're not worries about the Coyotes, they'll build a new arena in Tempe or at Wild Horse (Gila River) and they'll play in the Coliseum for a few seasons with the same attendance numbers. All good.
Coyotes need to stay in Arizona. The reason for their dismal attendance is not because only of the team's poor performance, but the fact that they are all the way out in Glendale and not closer to Phoenix. Lousy Arena management, poor ideas with the coaching staff working with players, and just lousy choices on what players you bring to the team, that also don't get a chance to establish any chemistry and spend 2/3 years, and then move on. We like our hockey and Arizona so screw you with the idea of them moving somewhere else.
I'm surprised places like Wisconsin-Milwaukee or Omaha Nebraska doesn't have a professional hockey team.
Coyotes have been in AZ for 25 years and and you guys talk like it's been a full 25 years of drama. Not the case. They're staying in AZ. Why? Well, Alex Muerllo the owner of the Coyotes has a long rich history of construction, so much so thats how he made his money to buy the Coyotes. Mix that knowledge and experience along with making lots of money in the gambling side with the state of Arizona announcing sports betting on 9/9, its more profitable for him and the team long-term to stay in AZ than simply selling the team. I was hoping you guys would touch on that or did a little more research instead of some more hot takes by "experts". Another thing you guys didn't mention is the terrible business acumen of the city of Glendale. Remember when the super bowl was at University of Phoenix stadium? They botched that deal so badly that the NFL decided to move all official fan experiences and parties outside of Glendale and didn't even offer the mayor or council members tickets to the bowl. That says a lot about how they handle sports teams. It's not just the NHL that has a problem with Glendale it's the NFL as well. Glendale will paint themselves as a victim but it's simply a negotiation tactic. They cut the cord early because there's a other option. You don't need an MBA to see their jealous because their leverage rug has been yanked from underneath them. It's always about money…
I honestly feel that the best relocation point is in Kansas City, which has a fantastic facility in T-Mobile Center, as well as a growing hockey culture with area youth.
They wouldn't have to share revenues with a co-tenant, and it would be a perfect fit for the Central Division – and would be an instant Blues rival …
I'm a huge coyotes fan and I honestly don't even care anymore. I'm sick of the BS and off ice drama and I'm sick of the on ice product. I was near the coyotes arena last night and that place got hit hard by the pandemic. Lots of closed bars and a ghetto crowd. They either need to move to a new arena in the valley somehow or to another state. The sad thing is is that there a lot of hockey fans in Arizona. But with a shitty team and a questionable arena and management situation year to year it's hard to stay interested
