@Maple Leafs de Toronto

    He was linked to Toronto for a while, just don’t see how that would’ve worked though with the 7 we already have plus benn and mete. No need for him

  2. Sure but the #LeafsForever door probably closed when he couldnt swallow his pride and take the league minimum deal – the only one we would have been willing to give …

    Damn, I would have loved him as a depth guy at the deadline. Either way congrats to Subban. If Bure made the Hall of Fame, I think there’s a spot for Subban as well!

    Funny, I speculated this happened in the daily thread. It’s a shame that P.K. just can’t play at a level to make the bit of offensive game he has left worth it.

    That said, P.K. is going to be alright. He’s primed to have a big career off the ice. We’ll be seeing him around for some time. He has a lot left to give.

    With Liljgrenn out now just invite PK on a PTO Leafs? Come on

  6. I bet we offered him a pto but he wanted a contract and we couldn’t commit. Habs I’m wondering if they felt he wasn’t right to be around the kids, or maybe he wanted a nmc so he wouldn’t be a deadline move.

    I have a feeling he didn’t get the money he wanted and tv will pay him more. He’ll be on espn or tnt 100%. My money is on espn as he did some post season work for them already and they need more personality as their intermission shows are boring.

    Man thats too bad. PK brings the hustle you need to go deep.

  9. PK > Mete/Benn

    A PTO wouldn’t have killed anyone… Especially with Liljegren being out and assuming management knew seeing as he already had the surgery.

    If he was a free agent one year ago he would have been a leaf already.

  11. Maybe he could’ve fit on the PP, he still has his shot, but we don’t know if the chemistry will be there. I don’t think he’s ever been known as a true shutdown guy or PKer which is what we need more.

    But yea I wouldn’t have minded PK for the added flair, grit, and weapon on the back end, but it just wasn’t a true fit. Plus we’re up against the cap too, even with the new injuries being reported

  12. Would have played him over holl, especially now since we could use another right hand D.
