  1. MEV is going to be the departure next offseason…I worry that Timo gets traded at the deadline this year though.

  2. Interesting predictions, I would argue with some choices, especially Bordeleau. I think Mike Grier is going for grit and size as priorities, so players like Eklund and Bordeleau could be traded as they are smaller and finesse players by contrast. A team needs all kinds of role players, so it will probably be a matter of performance and who steps up the most to fill the gaps in the line-up. I predict that there will be many line changes or different combinations, and Quinn will develop a double power play threat (two units, not just one). I also predict that the most improved player will be Barabanov, who will score many more goals than before. I think Lindblom will turn his game around and also add some scoring to the team. I hope they score about 50 goals more as a team than last year!

Also Brodie, you should make some "team predictions" if you need more topics to cover.

  3. All I want is Gadjovich and Viel on the same line 😀 maybe a reunion of the Hertl Couture and Meier line, and Knyzhov coming back !!!

  4. I agree that this team needs more depth. Though you need your top lines to be good, looking at the Avs winning the cup or looking back at the days when the Sharks were successful in the post season, every night had a different hero. I'm looking forward for the young players to earn their roster spots in the NHL to get top level experience creating team depth. This team needs more in-team competition.

  5. For some reason I can't help but think the Timo Meier will be traded by the All-Star Break. If he gets out to a really good start maybe even by the December. His price will only go up and we know that there will be some teams that should be making a deep playoff run that will want another top 2 line scorer as insurance. As his production rises, so does his traded value. Might be able to get multiple 1st round picks for him. I'd love to se him stay, but I just can't shake the feeling he may very well be somewhere else by the deadline.

  6. my five prdictions
hertl and meier both over 100 pts
    eklund calder
    bordeleau 45 points
    sharks make playoffs
    sharks win cup
(honorable mention thornton signs from a pto)

  7. Prediction #6 : They will win the cup within the next 4 years . I have a feeling with the new GM , head coach , young talent , theres a new energy brewing and the sharks are going to be really good soon.

  8. My 5

    1) The kids stay down and dominate the ahl. This allows tweeners like coe and wiseblatt to learn with confidence

    2) meier stays the whole year without a new contract

    3) vlassic resurges enough to be a solid 5/6d

    4) team finishes in bottom 5

    5) hasso has a life event and prepares to sell the team
