To me, Sandin isn't worth $2.3 yet. If I was Dubas I wouldn't budge. Once we get to the point where we're close to the cutoff date to be eligible to play this season, Sandin will have to choose what he wants more. Also agreed, if he wants to cash in a big bag, he needs to get minutes to prove that. Holding out for the absolute most he can get and being stubborn doesn't afford him the opportunity to put time in and prove his worth

Just mentioned that the team does have Victor Mete and Jordie Benn signed as depth options if they do need another depth Dman. They're okay options as a number 6, 7 or 8
I know you can't predict the future but how do you see the sandin situation playing out. like when does he sign and do you see sandin's camp signing sooner rather then later to not hinder his development

Dubas gets a lot of hate, this is a tough market. It’s very tough to find players like kampf at 1.5, bunting at 900k. Dubas finds good players for very cheap

Dubas shouldn't budge on Sandin's contract. $1.4 MIL x 2 years is perfect for the team and the player.
The 3 younger core players are more experienced and 2 of them are elite while just entering their prime. Tavares is healthy again so we will see how he fairs. He strength was his phenominal hockey IQ and hands. It has NEVER been his skating…even when he was a teenager so…
No more money should be spent on the forwards as it will weaken the defense. The top Leaf forwards need to carry the team now.

Can't see how they can continue without trading one of if not both Kerfoot & Muzzin….sign Sandin for the 3 years @ 2.3mil and give the kid a chance to play….we have Giordano the vet who could move up for a bit if need be…..I know Holl is not liked but as you say he is great on PK..is a right shouting RD and only making 2mil….good depth on any team that has a more balanced payroll…..as for the Logo on jersey….i am old school and would rather not have it…..but it's here and i did not mind it that much…..let's face it….the colors or the logo will blend in well with the teams colors and not stick out and i know there have already been lots of jokes made about it but that was gonna happen regardlesss just cause it's the Leafs i did not mind it…oh ya…and again sign Milano after trading Kerfoot and Muzzin….
I recall people questioning the signings of Benn & Mete to NHL one way minimum deals, well this why. Injuries happen, so they have depth despite being jammed up against the cap along with a lot of other good teams. I think Sandin has definite upside & he may end up being a better player than Liljegren, but at this point I simply think he's making a tactical blunder in holding out. Dubas needs to stand firm. Sign for the Liljegren money, then prove you're better & you'll get paid in 2 years.
Thoughts on the two D men they signed to 1 way co tract to play in the AHL. How does their cap space work if one of them is thrown on D until Liligrens return?
i'm ok with the milk logo. in comparison to the RBC logo on the canadiens jersey this one won't be noticed out there.
I tgink liljegren is his best comparable and liljegren looking better. Well see if sandin can stay healthy but i think same aa liljegren
