I am convinced this was the best goal he had ever scored

The minute after Horton scored, I knew I had to break up with my gf at the time. There have been red flags for a while, but basically this game was the clincher. She was baseball people and was upset that I would spend time to follow the playoffs. We’d meet and do stuff after the games, but it was always a big deal for her that I watched these games at all. Anyways, that Subban goal was pure chills. Edge of the seat type vibes. Then Horton scored, I was so fuckin deflated. Just despondent. And I turned around and see her face, and she was smiling with so much much glee and said « finally now I have you for myself ». Like, time and fuckin place man. I knew right then and there she wasn’t a keeper.

I will forever remember this game for the time Michael Fucking Ryder became Dominic Hasek in OT and seconds later a bruin knocks down the puck at the blue line with a high stick before scoring the series winner
