Vas is a brick wall in closeout games. He pitched a shutout in every series clincher from the 20-21 cup runs and this one. Tampa's only series clincher 2020-present that wasn't a shutout was the game 7 against the Maple Leafs and even then he only allowed 1 goal. Dude is just on another level when it's playoff time!
If anybody seriously thinks Tampa is the better complete team is crazy. Vasi played the most insane series by a goalie ever in history. The team got outplayed for the majority of the series. I will say they know how to capitalize on opportunities and how to play in tight situations, but if vasi isn’t between those pipes this isn’t a sweep. Probably florida in 5 honestly.

How’d that trade to Florida work out for Claude? Maybe next time, if there is one, he’ll extend his approved trade list to more than one team. I hope those extra 2 or 3 weeks of hockey were worth it. His 1000th game ceremony lasted longer than the series against Tampa.

Nobody should be surprised that Tampa Bay swept the Panthers. They are on another level come playoff time. They know how to prepare the younger players by giving them playing time. They have great leadership on the ice and have great depth by signing players they think will contribute. I am not a Lightning fan but damn they are great. I am a Vegas fan, I hope the Golden Knights can start doing what Tampa is doing.
I sincerely hope the the Tampa Bay Lightning win the next 16 straight Stanley Cups, if only to prove to the world what a Shit Show the NHL is.

The lightning become beasts in playoffs, tight checking, making most of prime scoring opportunities, and Kucherov, one of the best play makers in the league. I can see them back in the finals. 🇺🇸🇨🇦🏒

People said they would get owned by boston and their leadership team just like the past few years but they found a way to beat them.
Carolina and Tampa are the best teams in the east and I don’t think it’s a cake walk for either team.
