  1. I love the Hawks right now. They're not taking players crap and telling them to walk if they want big money on a long term contract. Strome is too inconsistent and played with Kane and Debrincat for god's sake! 4.5-5.5M per is too much, especially on a long term contract. Kubalik probly asked for similar money. Agree with management, let them go and good luck getting that money on the open market boys.

  2. Hawks gm is a total clown show. Stan gave Columbus 3 first round picks for seth jones. We got one pick for the cat. Poor assets management for over 3 decades now by multiple gms with this team.
Now the perception is the hawks are just a bunch of dumb r apists

  3. This is ridiculous. How are they not being called out for blatantly trying to tank?

  4. Kubalik is gonna go to the wings, wings have a lot of cap space and he would help the developing red wings a lot

  5. This has been the strangest tear down of a roster I have ever seen. How is a kid 2 seasons removed from scoring 30 as a rookie worth nothing? Why couldnt they have just move them at the deadline? It is irresponsible doing this for a 25% shot at Bedard.

  6. They're going all in for Bedard. Hopefully they will select from second place. Picking Michkov is a risk cause his KHL contract. And Fantilli or Dvorský are definitely not as good as Connor Bedard. So I really want them to lose in lottery next season for what they did. 😀

  7. Strome had a pretty strong comeback season I thought. After having a couple years of downward progression he really ramped up in the second half of this last season and had a pretty good showing. It's been pretty known for awhile that they had no intention of resigning him. I honestly thought last season after the first half a trade that would have made a lot of sense for both teams would have been DeBrusk for Strome even up. They had like the same exact trajectory career wise and neither team looked like they were willing to qualify the players at what they would have currently needed to make. But then both guys situations shifted slightly and they both started producing. Now you are in a situation where Strome produced like a second line center. And they still aren't going to qualify him. I don't know what more the kid would have had to do.

  8. If they trade away the entire team who is bedard going to play with?? If they dont get bedard what then? Is there even a plan? Weird

  9. It’s simple, tank for #1 in 2023. It is a very simple strategy from the Hawks point of view, let’s be the worst team in the NHL so we get the best pick possible in order to compete for a cup in 5 yrs. As a Hawks fan for 30+ yrs I am ok with the new direction they are going. I like the players they have traded and or let walk but they will only make them better next season, that’s not what they need. They need to be bad. Very bad! In 2027 we will find out weather or not this strategy was a good idea. Honestly I like what they are doing.

  10. The return for Debrincat was fine. The return for Dach was awesome.
Kubalik had one decent year and fizzled after that. Strome may have garnered a 6th round pick at best.

  11. I am a Hawk fan and have been one for over 50 years. I understand all the outsiders making YouTube videos to get views on how stupid the Hawks are, but if you know anything about Hockey you know that you have to get really bad, I mean REALLY bad before you can get better. We went through this before and it worked. I would rather watch a whole team of rookies play, lose, and learn then watch a bunch of middle of the road players play and be just good enough to be mediocre . We should have started this 2 years ago. I love all these fans who started watching the Hawks in 2010 talking like the Hawks are breaking their hearts. Shut up and get off the bandwagon.

  12. Your thought process is flawed number one you said these are solid pieces no they aren’t if they were we wouldn’t have sucked as bad as we did number two Davidson just got hired then they became free agents meaning you would have to resign them in order to trade them by the time Davidson got hired which is stupid if you don’t want them on the team number 3 what value do you seriously think they had this is a different regimen with a different mindset what your doing is combining both old and new regimens into one pot when you can’t have that mentality if you are a blackhawks fan and if your not that explains a lot you got add context to what you speak on because when you don’t the way front offices move will make little sense when it makes all the sense in the world when you think about it

  13. t’s pretty obvious what the Blackhawks are doing they want to field a team next year that gets the fewest amount of points possible because they have the next Patrick Kane potentially in front of them in Connor Bedard to eventually get back to the top of the NHL

  14. Kane and Teows are probably in trouble and the kids dont want to be near them.
