  1. And don’t forget, they also got Ville Husso from The Blues. The Wings could be something in the near future. Can’t wait for October.

  2. Nice to see Brennan Ali get his moment there, meeting Steve Y and the rest of the front office, I bet he was glad he hung around till the end!!

  3. Lombardi is a solid player, I've been to the firebirds games and that kid can play

  4. This team is getting nasty. He better be careful biking in Detroit this isn’t Europe anymore lol

  5. Kasper is a late birthday in April. He just turned 18. Playing in the men’s league at age 17 and did very well in the playoffs is very impressive

  6. After the 1st pick now the real demonstration of who has the best scouting begins.
I have been saying for quite awhile LW was a real need as there is a chance Bertuzzi departs via free agency, which for him is a smart move if he has a great stat year and I would not blame him for exploring the market…….So James and Buchelnikov, were quick back to back selections addressing insurance for left wing but both won't be ready immediately. They are not Bertuzzi type players though. You still have LW Berggren who really did a awesome job with GRG. I would not rule out a possible LW/C UFA signed also just in case and to safeguard for Fabbri not being ready to return until early 2023.
Will Yzerman make a push for LW Filip Forsberg? or short term deal for LW Ondrej Palat,?

  7. The Russian kid, could very well end up being a Kirill Kaprizov type of guy.. very under looked. Incredibly skilled. I’m most excited to see him. I knew Stevie would swoop up an underrated Russian. I’ve been calling it since the end of the season

  8. I think this guy might be the most like Stevie himself.
“Someone that would go through a wall to win”
    In the Yzerplan we trust!

  9. Really funny how the commentator tries his best to finish his train of thought and Stevie is already announcing that they're picking Kasper.

  10. Love how everyone has this nice long speech for their pick and Steve just walks up their and makes the pick all business lmaoo

  11. That a lot of potential talent for one day's work. Now the critical work of training, conditioning, evaluating and motivating begins. It's a lot of ingredients to bake into a winning pie, but Stevie's got the patience and Hakken and Nick have the European experience to make it happen.

  12. As a Pittsburgh fan I even actually want Detroit back to winning I want a Pens Wings part 3 before I die 😅

  13. You're not going to see the impact right away. But you can see the type of players the Wings have been drafting. Big defenseman, smart intelligent forwards, players described as gamers, who compete hard, and who are hard to play against. This team in the very near future has the potential to start turning heads and making some legitimate noise around the NHL.

  14. wow, is that crusty shitlord bettman still in charge? how can 1 person run an entire league into the ground and STILL have a job ?

  15. The announcers were the losers for the night. When there’s a selection or a trade, simply, Shut Up.

  16. After watching some of his play, you can tell most "experts" on these podcasts and writers and commentators definitely dont watch them play. They regurgitate the same ol dumb shit everyone does about everyone

  17. Dmitri Buchelnikov at 52. is steal of the draft. Reminds me about Kucherov. His puck skills are in another level. He is overager and bit undersize so that is why he dropped to late second. Also he haven’t play in KHL yet. But you just can’t show much more in MHL than he has. Absolutely domination there, he is a beast.
