  1. Carolina Please make a red, black and white whalers jersey already!! Also sharks to much damn teal ahahha

  2. The canes WILL have a whalers jersey this year – as they have a whalers night. Not sure if it is a throwback or retro though

  3. UPDATE: The Hurricanes are indeed scheduled to wear their “vintage Whalers sweaters” on March 26, 2023—which would add up to six jerseys used over the course of the season. That’s an NHL first!

  4. Thanks for the remote update Chris! Very Rangers-esque of CAR to not feature their primary on main jerseys. Love the Star Trek-like font for the Sharks.

  5. As a Huge Caniac, to borrow the line from our very own Tripp Tracy, I LOVE what my Canes have done with this new jersey. I've always loved the OG look. While I grew up a Pens fan, I harbored a soft spot for the local team (NC born and raised). In the summer of 17 I converted and didn't look back. My first Canes jersey is a 1999 Pro-Player in this design and I love it. I've since grown my collection and have just about every era of team design covered (we don't talk about 13-17). I can't wait to get one of these beauties with Jaccob Slavin's name on the back and you better believe I'll wear it proudly and will be at at least one game where they wear em!

  6. I have never wanted a Hurricanes jersey in the Adidas era, until now. I think the new flag logo would've been a better choice, but it's a minor nitpick that really takes nothing away.

I've commented on the Sharks set a few times already, but they truly are awesome. Of course I wanted to see the grey return, but honestly it's a bit better that the Sharks are moving forward with something new instead. We don't need every team banking on nostalgia.

  7. The Sharks 🦈 new jerseys are nice but the home is too much teal should of had black pants and for the Hurricanes 🌀 25th Anniversary jersey that's a classic they should make that jersey as the new home jersey instead of that black jersey

  8. 1. I can’t wait for the icethetics community to “evolve” the primary sharks logo to match the fin shoulder patch
    2. Absolutely zero drop off in both video and audio quality despite Chris being on vacation. How much AV equipment does this man take on vacation?

  9. I would have liked to see gray incorporated somewhere back in the jersey, but the new letter and number fonts are super slick, as is the new fin patch, it will be a great jersey to add to any collection. The teal pants are a tad much, but it's not us who'll be wearing them!

  10. Very very upset about the new Hurricanes jersey . 1 flag , are they the mild storm. NO we are the Hurricanes loud & Proud. Unreal sick.

  11. Hurricanes jerseys and logo are the worst of the league.

And the shark should use the seals last colours

  12. Sharks need to just go back to their original. These aren't bad, but none of their jerseys have topped the OG's

  13. I'll take back what I said about the Sharks going to too much teal. It actually looks really sharp! Saw them in person tonight and they looked really nice!

  14. Glad to see the dorsal fin patch back on my Sharks new jersey. It never should've left in the first place.

  15. "Understandably though, they didn't simply want to trott out the old design"

Flames, Oilers, Sens and Coyotes: 👀👀👀

  16. I know some people are complaining about the teal on teal with the new Sharks jerseys, but personally I think it looks great and I’m glad they went that way.

  17. Etymologically, 'vintage' is correct as anything over 20 (vint) years old (age) can be considered vintage.

Does it make me feel old as f*ck? Yes
    Is it correct? Unfortunately, yes

  18. That hurricane jersey should be their full time homes.
Sharks should have used teal numbers on their road uniforms and should have added grey stripes to the sleeves, hem, and socks. I miss the grey trim from the original uniforms.

  19. Although I wish San Jose went retro, I still appreciate how they didn't just resurrect their old jerseys and call it a day. Also is the stealth jersey staying?

  20. Great work as always, Chris! If only one could be a fly-on-the-wall for the thread of boardroom meeting discussions as design decisions are made… it would be fascinating to see the actual timeline of the key decision points along the process… ie: was there a committee vote at each step, or did it come down to a higher-up saying "go with all-teal"? While there have been many videos that show quick glimpses of various design iterations, I don't think I've ever seen anything that unpacks the "start-to-finish" and all of the "back and forth" that happens… because ALL designers know how THAT usually goes, right? 🙂

  21. Am I crazy or is the road sharks jersey a total rip of the Kraken road jersey? The numbers are almost identical at first glance

  22. I'm biased and think of the Sharks' original uniforms as perfection, but I do think the new ones are screaming for the gray to be returned to that middle stripe. The new set still feels lacking and unsatisfactory, even if it is by far their best look since the 2000 era.

  23. I think they should have used black pants at home and teal for away, but im sure it wouldnt have been that feasible due to travelling and such

  24. At first I thought that Montreal may have worn more than 6 during their 100th season, but it turns out it was only 5 different designs. That's quite a lot for Carolina! Love San Jose's updates, though I'm waiting to see if the teal helmets and pants end up being just enough or too much when they're worn in-game. I'm sure it'll be like Colorado when they moved away from black pants/helmets where it'll just take a few games to adjust to it before it feels normal.
