I've been rooting for Murray since he left the Pens. Really hoping he rediscovers his form and hopefully the passion that Leafs fans have, like you said, fires him up enough to get there. But not getting a very good back up for him is just not safe, too much of a glass cannon to risk that.
As a Pens fan I truly hope Murray plays well for you guys. He's a genuinely good person, hope he's given a fair chance by the fans.

Very poor risk management to say the least by Dubas. The window in Toronto is open for 2 years and Dubas chose to select the most suspect goaltending tandem he could for the next 2 years. This team needed league-average goaltending to succeed. Instead, you have an injury-prone and erratic tandem. When will a competent experience manage like Lou be chosen to fix these cock ups?
TML isn't going anywhere til they ship Tavares or Nylander to sign a legitimately competitive goalie for what they're worth

I hope you are keeping up with your therapist. On another note you can see the Stanley Cup anytime you want. I was just in Toronto, great city by the way, and it is right there in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Hang in there. Some day before you die they will win the cup again.

I'm a Pittsburgh Penguin fan, and I must say, wtf is going on. I do hope Murray gets out of his own head. That being said, even though he's probably gonna regress further because of a toronto defence that has no idea how to defend, you have to remember something important. The kid has won 2 cups, and isn't that the ultimate goal at the end of the day, the possibility of a cup. Matt Murray has won a series since 2004, when was the last time TO won a round again?

The concern is mostly that the Leafs are seriously looking to get to deep into the playoffs, which is why signing Murray seems questionable. In Pittsburgh, he had a great offense, ok defense, and MAF right behind in case things didn’t work out. It’s also been a few years since the Pens latest cups, time flies. We’ll see..
