Nathan MacKinnon doubled his salary so I'm thinking the next Lockout will limit contracts to 10 or 11 percent of Cap at time of signing. Maybe even how many contracts teams can have in that range. Otherwise its going to end up like Pro Wrestling or Roller Derby. It was supposed to have Cap of 90 or 100 Million by now as many projected or claimed. How many times has the Cap went down from the original number already? NHL is worst for Gambling even College Sports are better including Fantasy Hockey where they ruined the Scoring System so its all clusters and BS. Blues signing all these guys to 8 or more Million even Kings with Fiala. These GMs don't learn as many former players. Buying out NHL Contracts isn't like other leagues. NFL you can easily restructure deals to many things including almost every sport unlike NHL. Unless they can change rules for that to avoid spent cap for years after GM is gone. I can't see how League or Teams will sustain these 10M or more Cap Hit Contracts. Maybe they can find a way to not have it all count only like 80 or 90 percent? Tampa Cheated to Circumvent Cap only to be rewarded. Anybody playing fair is going to get shafted. Sharks got away with ditching Evander Kane contract while Kings still paying for Mike Richards 900K this year. Nobody has Won Stanley Cup once signing these huge contracts 11M or more. Karllson or Drew Doughty don't even produce numbers like Makar or Roman Josi who can get 100 points? All these players who never scored 40 goals or 100 points. There no Criteria for paying them. I've suggested certain thresholds to justify the amt of money before. Certain teams have picked up on my 10 or 11 percent limit while others wont hehe. I can't see how Coyotes playing infront of less than 5K fans without any advertising can compete with 85 to 90M Cap. Your only as strong as weakest link many markets have teams who never Won Cups so will continue to lose fans. Took Work Stoppages to limit contracts to 7 or 8 years when had all these 10 to 20 year ones. Jeff Carter one of the few to complete his but was traded with half salary retained. Yashin or Dipietro I think Islanders still paying money hehe.

Always enjoy the show, guys. I usually watch on my TV and there isn't a way to comment, so unless I remember to back in and do it on my computer or phone, it doesn't happen. I do enjoy the different perspectives on the happenings of the team. Funny how you talk about the ticket prices, but I think VGK is pretty close to the top of the market. When you brought it up, I thought about the UNLV Football team prices too, our administration seems to think that our 4 wins in 3 seasons coach is the second coming of Nick Saban with what they are charging.
