Aside from Mario Lemieux's goal with 17 seconds left in the 1st game of the Stanley Cup against Chicago in 1992, that has to be the second greatest goal in Penguins history. Glad I was able to witness both of them.
After this game everything went downhill for the Senators. Karlson got traded shortly after, and so did Anderson. The main reason why they were good in the first place then their logo changed to a crappy one.
Arguably the greatest playoff goal ever scored for the Penguins. The Sens pushed them to the breaking point and earned the right to go to the Finals every bit as much as the Pens. This goal won what was unquestionably the toughest series the Pens played in the back-to-back Cup years.
The game that eternally ruined the Ottawa Senators franchise, bring Eugene Melnyk to the forefront as one of the worst owners in NHL history until his untimely passing. Now their lost, the rebuild was supposed to be over, but its now been proven it will take years for this team to get back on track. They deserve it for how irrelevant they've become outside of Ontario and Quebec.
I miss this version of the Pens. Playoff mojo..we’re far from that now. Kunitz was my boy..I felt bad that he had sort of a down year that year. Then this game happened…and he got 6 points in the SCF series.
I Remember watching game 7. However, i had to go sleep after 3rd period (I was 11 at the time and next night was a school night). When I arrived at school the next day, that 2OT goal was ALL everyone would talk about that day (I live in Pittsburgh, so everyone was happy)

I remember this OT being so much more tense but if you watch the highlights it was apparently all PIT all the time after regulation ended.
One of the most intense and amazing series of all time. Both teams were on fire and deserved a shot at the cup.
4 years😭😭
I come here more often than I should 😩 loved when we were this good
the good old days for the pens

craig andersen had a mini stroke when he saw the puck go in. i feel so bad. so close but so far
Did anyone else notice how offside mark stone was on the tying goal?
yep then they got rid of all their good players; karlsson, anderson, pageau, stone, ryan, hoffman the list goes on
Still mad about that pageau breakaway miss call
Eugene Melnyk: "I'm never gonna financially recover from this"
Kunitz ended the senators franchise
Now Anderson is on the Sabres
Whenever I want to hate life, I watch this video
The way Anderson froze
Kris Kunitz called game
Probably one the of the greatest games of hockey ever played
Game 7 double OT.. my god, the suspense of that game.
I was cheering the Sens. I remember feeling so shattered after Kuntiz's goal.
why is this in my recommended YouTube TELL ME
The Boston penguins
The 2nd and OT goal looks the same lol
Few years later after tampa melt down we we became the first team to win or home ice since Chicago did it against us
coming back 4 years later as a sens fan. still absolutely love this team but man what if we went to the finals
My favorite penguins goal
Pens were the better team, they really hustled in OT and 2OT. Still, a scrappy effort by Ottawa.
Can we talk about how good doc was at announcing
Ottawas lineup getting dissected after this game will never not be shocking

BOOOOO!! I hate the Penguins and the whiner Crosby.👎🏾

Best game 7 of all time. Hands down
I’m still disappointed we lost up to this day

It makes it so much worse because it was just such an unlucky shot to let in

First time rewatching this since it happened. Sens tried so hard you can see it in their play and desperation. We’ll get there again boys
Sid still had 2007 in his head lol
