Jonathan Huberdeau explique pourquoi la signature à long terme à Calgary était logique | 32 Pensées

  1. I'll explain it right here.

Huberdeau had a career year, yes he's been getting better every year for the past 4, but there's zero chance he scores 115 again.
You would be stupid to turn down 10.5×8 after a career year you know you won't recreate. Especially in Calgary.
Oh and you get a long summer.

    Enjoy the Saddledump!

  2. Calgary has got a keeper in Jonathan. They wanted him, he wants to win with the team who wanted him. Less pressure for him than Montreal.
Sutter already has said he likes how Jonathan is a low maintenance kind of player.
In other words, a player who is prepared.
Great interview and Huberdeau is so humble.

  3. He's already developing a bit of that "oh god, this is a lot questions" look in his eye.
    Canadian media is intense.

  4. The guy is in his 30s and he's got a huge long term contract. Of course it made sense to him. Follow the money. Sure, he's terrific now, but Calgary had better hope they figure out how to beat the refs in the playoffs and actually win the Stanley Cup soon, because for half of his contract, he's going to be grossly overpaid. In the Cap era, it's all about taking crazy risks. The teams that are successful have those risks pay off. That's the only difference. They're just rolling the dice. Every team does it.

  5. Nice guy with understated manner..brings it on the ice for sure..reminds me of time years ago when Kings Luc Robitaille was very approachable person ..making appearances at our adult league clinic in LA. .skating and playing hockey ..

  6. This guy has grown on me. His demeanour is confusing, as he seems unenthusiastic at first but I think that’s just his personality.

In all honesty, I think he is a better #1 forward than Johnny is on a contending team.

He’s more conventional (in size), and seems completely dedicated to the team for the remainder of his prime.

I am excited for this year.
