Hopefully Buffalo can actually improve this season, their fanbase have suffered too long.
Buffalo will not spend big on free agents in summer '23. That would prove Kevyn Adams's build- from- within strategy a farce. If Comrie pans out 40 games at goal, the Sabres will score about 3.2 goals per game, giving up 3.0. So they will be a bubble team. Mittelstadt has a prove-it year. Krebs and Cozens must grow. Quinn is a great prospect, but JJ Peterka is better. He proved it in the AHL playoffs. Detroit overcommitted this offseason. Ottawa a little bit, but better.
Why everyone keeps giving Bjork a spot why?
Up front Peterka will make the team instead of Bjork. On D Jokiharju will start te year in the top 4. Adams will make subtle additions over the next 2 years, but will save the big money to retain those core youngsters currently on the roster. They will be a playoff team in 2024.
I don't get it, you say they'll be better and have a year like detroit did this past year, but then pin them in the same position as last year. The Sabres already had the exact same season as Detroit, and actually finished higher than them?
