Ducks are a hard team to grade so far. I mean yes they have played above their expectation so far this season. But at the same time hard to tell if they will be a playoff team. They have had two stretches where they played very well but also two stretches including the one they are on right now where they haven't been playing well. Then 8 of their wins have come in OT or a shootout and 7 of their losses have come in those as well. Which obviously means they are a competitive team. But hard to tell if they will be a playoff team.
Not that it mattered and it was 100% correctly called but the whistle blew after Mikko pulled it out from under Gibson's glove. These guys can't see and hear at the same time.
This was an awesome goalie matchup. So many good saves. I really think Frankie can and should be the Avs starter, as long as he can stay healthy. He's a wall when he's on his game.
Avs played the score and threatened the lead 5v5 but not much. Ducks were garbage offensively. Gibson once again saves their rears only to get nothing out of it.
