Sorokin another great game(should have 3 shutouts if not for a last 26 seconds left goal against. Hawks) Isles tough defensive 60 minute effort.after a solid game in. Arizona night before… Vegas nice place to play …makes us all think…. Can't wait to Isles come home to their new digs in. Belmont. New. York …wow!🗽

    What an amazing display of goaltending on both sides. Not the most entertaining highlights to watch but I can definitely appreciate a couple of brick walls dueling it out

    Last year Islanders have been the only team capable of destabilizing Bolts . Let's see how they do this year , hope they can confirm their potential . They will need a great Sorokin though , like this night.

    It's close as to which of the AV's, VGK and Leafs are the most overrated team in the NHL. The AV's are or were the pre-season Cup favorites. It's understandable mainly because someone from the WC will reach the final, and there's not nearly as much competition to get there from the WC. Personally, I think it's a toss-up with the VGK as to which might be better, but they would just be two more teams in the EC. It's hard to find a third team in the WC that would be better than 50-50 to make the playoffs if they were in the EC. The Leafs won the COVID North, but in the EC, they've never been more than a marginal playoff team, and they look even worse so far this year.

    The NHL has more parity from 1 to 16 or 20 than any other sport. The games tend to be close. Puck luck is huge. Thus, once you make the playoffs, you have a shot. We've seen "big upsets" which aren't as big as they seem. However, it's been very unbalanced now for 4 or 5 years between the WC and EC. The Pacific Division is really weak. The Central is a little better, but it's not great. The Metro has been "loaded and deep" for years, and it looks to be just as tough as ever. The Atlantic hasn't gotten easier with the rise of the Florida Panthers. They're as good or better than any team in the NHL.

    Sorokin two shut outs in a row. This one against an offensive powerhouse team. I did not see this coming in Vegas.

    I’m noticing Barzal and Clutterbuck can shoot like a MoFo now compared to last year… Nelson and Zeeker damn well both shoulda had goals in this one. Soroking is an absolute God between the pipes

    Feel sorry for Lehner. This is the curse on Vegas for what they did to Gerard Gallant, Marc Andre Fleury, Erik Haulage, & Ryan Reeves. They don't deserve Lehner. NY Islanders did him dirty by hesitating to resign him and giving him a couple of hours to decide if he wanted to stay after promising him a 2 year contract. Toronto should have kept him instead of giving him to Toronto who foolishly gave him to Chicago. With the Departure of Fredrick Anderson the combo of Lehner & Campbell would have been great. Chicago has been a disaster for Lehner & now his former teammate in goal Marc Andre Fleury. I was a fan of Vegas because of my love for The Pittsburgh Penguins. A few Penguins went to Vegas and I called them The Penguins West. They had the BEST COACH GERARD GALLANT until they stabbed him in the back and hired SOUR PUS PETER DEBOER. Thrilled that Gallant is now the coach of NY Rangers & Ryan Reeves went with him. Just wish that my favorite player & person Marc Andre Fleury had a better fate. I am praying somehow he will return to Pittsburgh where he should have been protected from the expansion draft and be able to finish his career there where he is LOVED ❤ and when he hangs up his skates see his #29 Jersey retired and raised to the rafters beside Mario Lemuix. The Penguins owe him that 🐧🌻🐧
