He's making moves, some amazing, but a few of them are head scratching.
Trust the Yzerplan! LGRW🐙🏒🤘
Yzerman is playing chess while the rest of the league is playing checkers. Trust the Yzerplan!! GO WINGS!!
YES he will pay for that wall
Advanced stats need to have another metric added…I call it the "Yzerman Gut Feel %" or YGF%
Also worth noting copp and chiarot were in the jets system together for 5+ years
Steevie Why: Crushing the NHL since 1984!
He hasn’t drafted or signed or made songs or move that has been incredible or genius – sure signings and drag picks work out – but every GM does that – tell my the move he made that makes you such a big fan
I believe he signed each one of these guys to trade for picks at the trade deadline. Think about it…. 4 of the 5, if their season is even a bit productive, can each at least get a 2nd from a playoff team. What if Kubalik lights it up? Copp? They could even fetch a first based on their youth.
Lineup for next season🐙
Bert-Larkin-Raymond
Vrana-Copp-Perron
Kubalik-Suter-Zadina
Sunqvist-Rasmussen-Fabbri(Veleno)
Edvinsson-Seider
Chiarot-Hronek
Maata-Lindstrom
Husso
Ned
Extras-Berggren-Walman
Not sure ur dominating when u sign chariot to a ridiculous contract
2nd best to Sakic as a player and GM
Do you think Steve is going to try for Klingberg?
The Chiarot signing doesn't get to be chalked up as a good move
Copp may beat out Larkin for 1C
yzerman is a terrible gm and has sign a ton of average players to dumb big money long term deals and the wings will miss the playoffs again, he's clueless lol
do a vid on the rangers gm dury
I’m so sick of everyone riding the Steve Yzerman. Anyone who’s watched Copp and Chairot know these are massive overpayments.
Perron being 34 is the only thing that worries me but he could work out
As excited as I am for the upcoming season, I’m not going to hold expectations that Detroit will make the playoffs. I do anticipate they will be more competitive and harder to play against. But with new coaching means new systems will be brought in, which will take everyone on the roster some time to adjust to. Also, with them being in a highly competitive Atlantic division, the chances of them beating out Florida, TB, and Toronto will be next to impossible. The best chance for Detroit, Ottawa (who has majorly upgraded as well) to get in would be to beat out Boston..which I’m not sure is a definite. Needless to say, Detroit is on the right path and the future looks bright
Meh
To be fair to Jimmy Howard… He was on the USA olympics team in '14 and was an all star in '19 so… 🤷🏼♂️
I’m not super impressed, he made a lot of moves yes. Perron maybe will be good. Copp is pretty good but not great, chariot I think is overrated. I still think they wings are short on grade a talent but I’m just typing on YouTube and not hired as a gm. Yet…
I have NJ as my "B team" because I think Quinn Hughes will eventually play there but Detroit and Yzerman are pretty fascinating too. He's so smart. When he took the job in Detroit there was nowhere to go but up so let's see just how up they can go.
Steve Z was an awesome player. Played with awesome teammates. A great GM. Go Habs
Detroits making the playoffs next season.
I like the message Stevie is giving the prospects. Take your time, learn our game, work hard, and learn what it means to be an NHL pro from these guys. Also: EVERY position is competitive. You will not get a pass. Compete and win your job. Excuses are for losers. Game On.
Right now they got copp listed with perron and vrana
And rumor is Klingberg wants to come to Detroit
Stanley Cup Baby..
Keep in mind too that they should make players around them currently on the team better. Those who don’t perform will be gone.
bruh he's makes 1 decent signing other than that he's been trash
most overrated gm in the league hands down
1- Yzerman was prepared, he knew who was available and who wasn't. 2- He knew the careers and relationships and back story, on ALL additions to his organization, I bet. 3- He's been subtracting older, and overpaid players, Abdelkader, Ericsson, DeKeyser, Greiss, Staal, to name a few. 4- And….with most players being signed for a lot less than market value, and to shorter terms. He amassed tens of millions for his war chest, and wasn't going to be hindered, when he needs to make deals in a few years. 5- He allowed his younger and talented players to get some experience, and see what they're worth. 6- He's a draft GENIUS. Seider, Raymond, Edvinsson, Cossa, Soderblom, Kasper, to name a few. 7- Now Larkin can get a raise, he came close to a point per game, and he could still end up being an underpaid 90 point All-star this year.
lmao wouldn't call it dominating, chariot ain't that sweet, copp has career ppg under .50.
This is… NICE! Yzerman has one come off the books next year, a couple more in two, then in 4 and 5. He has PLENTY of room to give the kids a shot to crack the lineup and…. IF they do, he can sell. I don't see Yzerman throwing Copp away anytime soon but Suter, Veleno, Rasmussen? Berggren might be a 3rd like guy. We don't know. That's up to him and the spot he's trying to take. Point is, there's room opening up soon.
The Chiarot move was terrible. Otherwise I like his moves.
I live in Arizona and only get to see the Wings play live when they are here. Heading back to see the Wings play live in Chicago Oct 21st for my birthday. So Damn excited!!
Lol I don't think Toronto took a step backwards. I think they got better defensively which is what they needed. Plus much better goaltending
Glad you are giving Pysyk an appropriate review. So many fans are saying “he’s our seventh”. He’s much better than that; people just don’t know.
Lego, what do you think is happening with Zadina? RFA for 22-23 season and hasn't gotten a contract yet. Kinda odd that Pearson was signed before Zadina
Grand rapids griffins will definitely be fun to watch!
No more Detroit Dead Wings! At least a decent change is happening.
If you never mention a player until becomes a redwing and now he’s the greatest and the move was incredible you are not a hood ice hockey student – if you talk about how good a player is only after he becomes good or how great a redwings trade was that was so great ypu didn’t mention it as n option until after the.
