Matthews is just beginning to hit his peak prime years now… he’s going to be an unstoppable force for many years to come. As an oiler fan we’ve been blessed with McDavid. I still think McDavid is the best player in the NHL now but I don’t think there’s any doubt that Matthews is making a push for McDavids throne.

Setting a Leafs record, a team that's existed for 105 years…Matthews well done. You'll be wearing a C just wait. The Leafs need to get rid of Nylander and open up cap space. Nylander can score, but so can those who don't have the puck when he does. Campbell's gotta work on his plyometrics and stretch a little more if he's able to. Reminds me of Price actually – great positioning but relies on it every time. Not saying that's a problem but once the playoffs begin he's gonna have to step up to another level. Think Belfour with the Leafs back in the day vs Ottawa. The focus is going to be on you as a goalie to be the game saver.
As a sports better, a healthy stars vs a healthy leafs team in the cup.. I would pick the stars to win it in 7. Leafs will do the same thing they do each year and blow it. Stars have more veterans with playoff experience and match up extremely well against the leafs. Hockey isn’t about the better team, it’s all about matchups.
Not one comment on here about the stars not being healthy. Oh, and the leafs winning in OT against wedgewood (the back up). *Helluva performance btw. Took the leafs to get to OT after blowing a lead in the third to beat the stars.. might wanna think about that for a second. Panthers, Avs, Canes are all better teams than the leafs.

Every time I think of pavelski I think of the playoffs when he was on the sharks and they were playing the Oilers and he made a tip way left of Talbot and he scored.
