Are players getting better or is the goaltending getting worse? Neither. This is playoff hockey.
Fun game to watch but, if either of these teams thinks that defense can be optional to win a cup…they are sadly mistaken.

What an exciting game I watched the whole thing. That was horrible goaltending by both teams. But wow the fans got their moneys worth

Im a Bruins fan and the second they got knocked out I said that it would be Avalanche taking it all and its looking like I'm right. What a crazy game though.

Considering the 4 teams left in these playoffs – Avs, Oliers, Lightning and Rangers …would have to say Lightning and Rangers can probably deliver the harder hits/body checks than the Avs or Oil.
It's not always the number of hits that count, it's the number of quality hits. Like Barry Melrose used to say – finish your checks boys !
I'm a diehard Avs fan, but I told several people at the end of the regular season that if we had to face Edmonton in the playoffs it was going to be a total dogfight. They're no joke…

Ok… game 1 is behind us with the Avs up. Who thinks game 2 will be a lower scoring game? Will Edmonton be able to bounce back? The offense is lightning fast for both teams. I hope Kuemper is able to come back. Smith will be in for Game 2.

What Crosby is to Center, Makar is to Defefense. Maker is so fast and clean from afar, I’ve only seen Crosby shoot those kinds of shots. Edmonton thinks this is Mc vs Mac but it’s so much more than that with Mak.
