I hope we stay away from Klingberg and Burakovsky. Way too much term and AAV. There’s no world in which those will age well.

  2. I'm wondering if there was some kind of issues between Donato and Hakstol, or other coaching staff. I remember Donato being a healthy scratch at least once during the later half of the season. When asked about it Hakstol said something to the effect of needing players that "wanted" to play. That itself was baffling because, as you pointed out, he's one of the only guys that seemed to want to shoot it. It may be me reading in to it, but it really feels like this is personal, not business.

  3. Copp could be another LW worth looking at that probably wouldn’t break the bank. He definitely would be an upgrade over Donato. Imo

  4. Ron Francis is looking like he's doing really well at management. I know it was lucky we got Wright, but to get a ton of steals with all the draft picks we acquired by assembling average to middling players to then have their value go up over the season to then trade for those draft picks. 4d chess energy. Just hoping with our rising roster we get meaningful development outta Hakstol. I swear if I see Matty get scratched the same way Donato did I'm going to lose the tiny little respect I still have for Hakstol and his coaching philosophy. Let's go Kraken🤍💙

  5. There's rumors about Martin Jones (G) & Justin Schultz (RD) both signing with the Kraken. They signed Burakovsky away from Colorado and also signed Andrew Poturalski, the second likely for Coachella Valley. Oh ya, and they also signed Shane Wright to his entry level deal.

  6. For some reason, I trust Ron Francis. Though we could use him, Gudreau is too expensive given the cap hits that will be here all too soon, if everything works out as we hope. He will probably want (and deserve) a term that would not be in Seattle's best interests. Thanks for this video. GO KRAKEN!

  7. Schultz and Burakovsky were nice signs, Jones more of a depth/reclamation option. All pretty solid so far, hopefully this can help them from throwing Wright to the wolves right away and maybe keep him down in Kingston for a little while

  8. So I finally got my Seattle Kraken home jersey. It is blank but it has the inaugural patch on it. I LOVE that jersey. Love it even more with the moves the Kraken have made this off-season thus far. Hope you and the family are all doing well. Cheers!
