Gil, we have no choice…it's Salo or Cholowski and Aho. Remember this, we had 2 defenseman who were 40 and 45. Much improved this year. Elite goaltending, and I believe the forward unit's will be better this year.
Glad you're on the mend, Gil. I'm curious to see how Bolduc does this year. A return to his form from 2 years ago, plus development from there would be fantastic. I kind of pictured him being Mayfield's partner coming into this season, a couple of years ago. I think he still has game.
The defence is going to be so much better this year. It will make a huge difference for the team. Remember, the Isles were without Pulock for 26 games, Mayfield for 21 games and you had Greene and Chara in the line up. I'm expecting a huge upgrade this year and pray for good health.
The only way these three can show they are bonafide defencemen is to be given a chance. They have to give Salo/Aho/Cholowski a chance this year and keep the old vets out.
