Great memories
well, thanks for posting but the audio level of the commercials is totally offside. That’s being done intentionally and Guy would not approve.
then came the oilers to change it all
that first boston goal, jesus christ! Imagine if Dryden would of properly save that, so close!
My all-time favorite player….my HERO RIP GUY GUY GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good always defeats evil. RIP, Guy.
Pretty incredible the stacked H O F'ers on these teams! Also very hard to believe that Dryden and Scotty Bowman said goodbye after this year! RIP Guy!
this is like an all star game without helmets
This was close game only due to Gilbert's great game and Driden's horrible performance. Man I've never seen Driden out of it like that, no wonder he retired after that year (still won the cup though). And what can you say about Lafleur, he was everywhere on that ice.
But we all wanted the bruins to win Montreal always won
Danny Gallivan was great! Jean Ratelle was one of my favorites!
Is Gilbert wearing Cheevers' mask?
People forget this in the nhl at that time linesman could not call penalties linesman john D'Amaco skated half the ice to referee bob myers with the phantom too many men on the ice call to help there beloved Canadiens and screw the bruins not mention bob myers was by far the nhl's worse referee he should not have been working such an important game 7 he was the nhl's version of baseballs angel hernandez today so tilted to help the Canadiens see interviews with bob Gainey Larry Robinson they both admitted it more or less 😉
Danny Gallivan was something else.Legend.
It's so nice to see Habs fans getting to watch a playoff game too.🤣🤣🤣
Rips my heart out still 43 years later
What I would give to go back to that day as a teenager We take life for granted. Today 43 years later I appreciate this more than ever. What a time machine the mind is built to be as I could almost smell the old forum and the spring day of Montreal in April. Montreal back then was the city of champions spoiled by Stanley cups and great Montreal expos teams.
Back in the day when goalies weren't the size of a walrus. No sleepy time Duncan.
Lemaire got a lot of weird but interesting goals…yes?
Woo hoo! I was wondering how that turned out!
Hickey is not the same anymore. Those were the best years
I watched this game live on T.V. 38 ' . It still hurts to watch it. My brother and me used to joke that Lambert was
Peppy La-pew. He was always checking himself out in the glass as he skated by. Hello Beby , Gives to me la pucks.
One of Lafleurs best goals at 33:58
7:00 "A larcenous save".
1st Boston goal would not count today … it was blatant goaltender interference which is why Dryden was so upset.
I have watched this game so many times, I never get tired of watching it! Guy scoring that beautiful goal to tie the game up and the Haps winning in Over time!! Back then we expected the Haps to win every year and many times they did not dissapoint us!
RIP GUY LAFLEUR you will always be in our Hearts!! No one else got the standing ovation you did when you came back to the Forum in a Rangers Jersey and Nordiques Jersey we cheered every time you scored even though you no longer played for the Haps that is the LOVE and RSPECT every Habs Fan had and always will have for you!!
Everyone is classily dressed
I was at that game at the forum, I snuck in and drank beer and ate those awesome hotdogs, I was 14.
Great game.
I can't get over how the audience is dressed so nicely
The Habs were like an all-star team during this era.
Either I'll stop the world and melt with you or Yellow.
Oh hi. I played goal in front of the best team in nhl history . I'm so good
Boston fans called the Dryden the octopus. Cuz couldn’t get nothing by him
On the winning goal, look at Serge take the puck from Middleton (@46:06). He played it perfectly. With his body position he prevented Rick from going around him so he knew Rick only had one option, a cut back. So Serge just waited for the puck to come in front of him and gobbled it up. This created the chain reaction that followed, a pass to Houle at centre, the one-touch tip pass to Tremblay in full stride whose speed gets him around the defence, and then that pretty shovel to Lambert to win the series. When great players get focused good things always happen.
August 2022. Truck stop in Washington state. It’s 102 outside and I’m loving this. Go Habs RIP Guy
How many times did Al Sims literally hand it to Mtl in his own zone to win the series, you'd almost think he was on Mtl's payroll.
Cost the Rangers the cup. After beating the Islanders they would have beat the Bruins
i wonder if players would prefer to play without helmets? it is much easier to identify players without helmets
Why do you put who WINS the game in the title???!! Do you not think those who haven't seen it might like to not know who wins before the game starts!!!???…..Unbelievable.
