@Avalanche du Colorado

1. Really feels like Makar / Byram have the potential to be the next Weber / Suter or Shattenkirk / Pietrangelo type duo.

  2. If people think Nathan MacKinnon doesn’t show up in big games they just need to look up all time playoff PPG. 1) Gretzky 2) Lemeiux 3) NATHAN MACKINNON

  3. unbelievably missed thing: outside about 2-3 players Colorado picked up EVERY SINGLE ONE improved drastically from goalies to forwards to defense men. even some players who had back track records. Joe is amazing but so is the training team holy moly.

  4. Travelled with family from Vancouver Island to watch the USAFA outdoor game against the Kings just before the COVID crackdown with some disappointment at the outcome but a great event non-the-less. Our 🇨🇦family is forever connected to Colorado thru our son’s birth, marriage to my wife, and time in NORAD. Go Avs Go!

  5. I hate Kadri because he's a dirty $@%, and their owner is the biggest &@$ in sports, and that's really saying something. To the rest of the players and fans…..congratulations.

  6. Little tough to see as a wings fan, but damn are they good. Obviously the best team in the league this year. Congrats to them

  7. Lehkonen had THREE game winning goals, right?! What a pick up!! Amazing how little I see people talking about him, he was as big as Nick Paul for tampa, who if it wasnt for paul tampa would have lost the first round against toronto. Its always key guys like this that push teams on top to win. Also imo Colorado 100% needs Kadri, they will not repeat without him. He is such a force of nature and a game changer, cant believe they would let him walk

  8. I’m an avs fan and I would say the blues gave us the most trouble so if you’re a blues fan, be proud because you guys were the most challenging for us because of your style of gameplay

  9. The Matt Duchene trade will go down as the Herschel Walker trade of hockey. That one move may have created a dynasty.

  10. I remember living in Wyoming in 1996 and getting the Denver TV stations on the big seven-foot C-band satellite and on the night they held their big celebration at City Hall after winning their first Stanley Cup the TV cameras showed a guy in the crowd with a sign that read ‘Thank You Quebec City!’ after Quebec had voted down a new arena referendum and the Nordiques moved west (along with the notorious Patrick Roy trade.) Now Quebec City has a new arena but no team and none on the horizon.

  11. "Aube-Kubel had his struggles". Yeah the Cup is heavy and the ice is slippery haha

Also not on the board is Ryan Murray. Guy went 2nd overall and had a lot of injuries in his career, happy for him

  12. I wasn't a fan of either team but I watched with intrest. My hat's of to the Av's. I was expecting more out of the Lightning in the third period of game 6. They were out played in all aspects of the game! Glad to see Kemper win a cup, he would never got one in Glendale! Fans in Arizona loved him. He certianly deserves his name on Lord Stanley's cup! Congratulations to every fan in Colorado!

  13. I WANT TO PUKE SHANNON! 😭 as a lighting fan how can I not see that vasy moment of him slamming his stick, leading the team into the locker room after losing on home ice eh? I’m so damn proud of this team! We both deserved to win that series. It’s a shame we could not get to a game 7. TOO MANY MEN!!!!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

  14. Wow, what a rough ride for Corey Perry. Three Finals, zero Cups. He'll join the Av's next year…Lolol

  15. Even though a lot of bottom six didn’t have superb goal totals, Avs won with somebody different being a hero in each game. Sturm only had two assists, but those two were insanely important in Avs Cup run either tying the game or putting the team ahead late. Cogliano’s points were very important. Manson was probably Avs most consistent defender the entire playoffs. Compher scored some huge goals, especially in the Blues series that won games. Lehkonen had I think the most GWG for the Avs in the entire playoffs. Crazy acquisition. The list goes on and on, like how Avs don’t win the Cup if Nuke didn’t play as well as he did. Avs don’t make the Cup finals if Burakovsky didn’t score those goals against the Oilers or the GWG against Tampa Bay Lightning. Helm was unbelievable and probably the best bottom 6er. He did so much stuff that doesn’t contribute on the scoresheet like constantly following the other teams star players.

  16. Nathan Mackinnon is still young yet. He hasn't even reached his prime.

  17. One of the largest reasons Colorado couldn’t “get over the hump” was not just injuries but the fact that they are just a very young team with little advanced playoff experience. That means The Avalanche could be scary for many years to come.

  18. Nathan MacKinnon’s development was greatly helped by Jarome Iginla joining the team for a few seasons and being the team’s leading scorer.

  19. Who cares about injuries the Packers won the Super Bowl with 15 starters on injured reserve that’s just a fucking excuse

  20. I've been watching you since your first 100 subscribers. I have to say I've loved your content and your unbiased opinions, thanks Shannon.

  21. Congrats to the Avs well earned Cup victory this year. You beat some really good teams in your path. I just wish some Avs fan had more respect for the Lightning. Just because they won 2 Cups during covid shouldn't mean any less. I'm not saying all Avs fans are saying that but a lot are and you know who you are. Again congrats to the Avalanche. I do like their players, coach and I've always liked Joe Sakic even as a Stars fan. The Avalanche were always a team I respected

  22. One things about the Avs that's not as apparent is, although they have superstars, that's not all they have. They don't have someone scoring 60 goals because they have so many people scoring 20-30 goals. Of I remember correctly, goals scored by their top 6, bottom 6, and D were pretty evenly split in the regular season. You can't just shut down MacKinnon or the top line, you have to shut down the whole team. And while Vasi can sure do that a couple times, he couldn't do it every game.

As much as I like Kuemper…what would it take to get Oettinger over here?

  23. Congratulations to the Avs. Bummed the Lightning did not get the 3-peat but it was an exciting season, so proud of the team. Lot has to go right to win the cup, Bolts had some tough injury luck and I think not having home ice for the entire playoffs did make a difference. Again, congrats to Colorado. Great series. GO BOLTS!

  24. Would love to hear your thoughts on whom Sakic keeps and who gets away due to salary cap etc…

  25. Saviour your Canada Day
