I love these season highlight videos. What's most remarkable about this one to me is that I don't ever remember Tomas Sandstrom wearing the "C" unless that was preseason footage? Any help?
I always liked Espo as a Player and a great player he was, but as a GM he was so so and as a coach he stunk. As a Ranger fan I didn't approve of him firing Bergeron. Anyway, it was a fun season and a cool memory in NYR history..
39:05, that fan was featured on the "The Story of The 1994 NY RANGERS", he was the guy who refused to sell his Game 7 SCF Ticket even for $5,000, went down to the Garden at 7 or 8 am cause he was so nervous that morning. Rangers fans are special, especially the old guard who watched & waited for decades
88-89 They finally started to turn their identity around from the Smurfs, into a hard nosed team which lasted about a decade. They finally had some youth in which they kept some and traded some for their deep playoff runs which started a couple years later.
This season truly was the bulding block in many ways of the 1994 team 👍
