@Blackhawks de Chicago

Damn. I just realized that Corey Crawford and Jimmy Howard were drafted in the same year and the same round. Both goalies have exactly 244 wins, with ironically very similar stats.
The Blackhawks have permission from the local Native tribe who historically occupied the area around Chicago. The Wurtz family also donate lots of money to Native charities…
Jersey looks good. like the green one the best.
These are the only marathons I do 😂😂
in today's hockey, 8th place finishers or brand new expansion teams making it to the finals should havedriven hockey fans crazy.
Ladd wasn't captain.
Dirk Graham was the first black captain in the NHL
Kane can easily break the points record if he stays healthy and produces when he gets older. He will hit 1000 next year and he’s only 30 and not showing he’s stopping soon
Incredible effort on these videos! Bloody amazing! White board action is next level!
I know looking at it now the Panarin trade makes a lot of sense and looks good for Chicago but i still really don’t like that move as a fan of the Hawks. It is still very painful to think that Columbus gets a pretty uneven trade to get Saad and then they flipped him back to us for a phenomenal winger. Saad is fine when he’s on a streak but overall his kind of above average play does not even come close to matching what Bread Man does.
Andrew Ladd never wore the C in Chicago
The team spelling changed happened because the expansion paper the Hawks were spelled Blackhawks and then they came in Black Hawks and they went with Blackhawks
Eric Daze was great with the Blackhawks
That's it hawks winning cup
Thanks for the video
It’s strange to think that an Original 6 team has its golden age in the 2010’s.
Love your channel for the informative content!
Sneaky CAT behind the ost
Patrick Sharp for Matt Ellison and a 3rd round pick didn't make your board? Or Brandon Bochenski to Boston for Kris Versteeg and a 5th round pick in 2008? Fleeced badly in beantown on that one.
The only blemish on the Hawks is having a Bobby Hull statue in front of the UC. A drunken womaniser with a rap sheet including beat his wife bloody with a stiletto shoe. Mikita would have been a better idol.
Hawks are my rank 31 team in favorite teams. Can't stand them. But they have a heck of a history.
The date for that Matteau and Noonan trade doesn’t sound right because if he got traded to the Rangers in August 1994, then they wouldn’t have been around to win the Cup in June.
As a hawks fan. I do not consider 3 cups in 6 years a dynasty. In my opinion one of those cups needed to be back-to-back. It’s hard to consider them a true dynasty when they haven’t won back-to-back championships. If Leddy didn’t score on himself in game 7 Vs L.A. I think we r having a different conversation.
Ladd (a trade deadline addition, for his 2nd stint with the Hawks) was Winnipeg's Captain that year, but did not have a letter for the Hawks. Toews since taking over from Aucoin in the 2008-09 season on.
Six guys (including Crawford) did not receive QA (Tallon's fault) of those six guys all were signed, and only two had to be paid slightly more than necessary. It was Tallon's bad contracts that made that 2010 have to jettison so many, Campbell's contract was crazy.
How can you forget the famous Bill Wirtz quote on the Alex Zhamnov trade "He is the Magic Johnson on skates." #facepalm
With Bowman in charge of this team don't count on so much for the Hawks to get another cup. I'm not hating, I'm just saying Bowman doesn't make the right moves and it's hurting the team. Sucks to see it happen.
Really like what you are doing, keep the good work. You're better than all those so call experts on big television screen 🙂
Oh boy do I ever agree with you about Jeremy Roenick how I used to love him as a player until I heard him talk. And talk. And talk. Unfortunate.
Who was captain between 70 and 75?
Frederic McLaughlin, the Hawk's founder, bought the Portland Rosebuds of the Western Hockey League after getting the NHL franchise rights, and moved them to Chicago to form the Black Hawks. He wisely changed the name with an ode to his WW I Army Division, whose nickname was itself a ode to Ma-ka-tai-me-she-kia-kiak (AKA Black Hawk, or Black Sparrow Hawk). Irene Castle (a stage name, born Irene Foote) who's 3rd husband was Hawks founder Major Fredric McLaughlin designed the first Blackhawk logo. She was interesting all by herself, Broadway dancer/actress, silent movie actress, animal rights activist, animal shelters she founded are still active.
Randy Pilous??
Haha three days later and Anismov is gone.
Whether you like these History Videos or not, or you just want to point out errors. You still have to respect someone who hand-writes that much information on a board and proceeds to explain every last bid of it. Would anyone else be willing to do that much work only to wipe the board clean after finishing the video? I would first need rubber wallpaper on the walls and a Massage Therapist for my writer's cramp!

2020 UPDATE
NOTE: Denis Savard and Doug Wilson are the only players in the Hockey Hall of Fame who played for both, the Chicago Black Hawks and the Chicago Blackhawks.
NOTE: Prior to the 1986–87 season, while going through the team's records, someone discovered the team's original NHL contract and found that the name "Blackhawks" was printed as a compound word as opposed to two separate words, "Black Hawks", which was the way most sources had been printing it for 60 years and as the team had always officially listed it. The name officially became "Chicago Blackhawks" from that point on. This was a legal issue.

I know that you had limited space, but, one of the most Infamous Of Trades, for both teams trading, was The Late Tom Lysiak, Et. Al. Going from Atlanta to Chicago, and Ivan Boldereuv, Et. Al. Going to Atlanta from Chicago. In Chicago Stadium were the Tombstone Banners of Boldereuv, Rota, and Russell, even though the trade favored Chicago, in a way, because Tom Lysiak had such a Decent Chicago Career.
Amen on The Logo. Chicago has a Warrior Head
I paused it. The Trades should have Stayed in 1968, LOL, because, now, I, once again, have to hear about That one, which Changed History (Can you imagine Both Espositos on The Chicago Black Hawks – Pit, you were good, but, not An Esposito – LOL).
You didn't include The Infamous Tombstone Trade? It brought Tom Lysiak, Harold Philipoff, Et. Al. from Atlanta (Flames) to Chicago for Ivan Bolderev, Darcy Rota, Phil Russell (in his First Game with Chicago, Tom Lysiak said that The Fans had a Bedsheet with 3 Tombstones with the Numbers 12, 18, 5 that were the Uniforms of the Players that went to Atlanta for The Lysiak Group). Even though Tom Lysiak won over all the Chicago Fans, with his play, later, It's A Great Hockey Story.
All in All, even Absent Tombstone Trade, Great Job
What about my 2 favorite Blackhawk goons? #22 Mike Peluso and everybody's favorite #23 Stu Grimson. He has a face that would stop a clock! Anybody who messed with the Blackhawk scoring lines met with a certain death when facing these 2 when on the ice.
