  1. Driedger will be out until at least Jan/Feb, and while Daccord had a very solid NHL preseason & a good year in AHL he got absolutely lit up in limited NHL reg season action, that's why they signed Martin Jones. The Goalie coach is a major upgrade, last year's choice was a terrible last minute promotion of 1 of their scouts who had 2 poor years experience as a G coach with Buf several years ago.

U also forgot C/Winger J McCann who easily was lead G scorer, believe was also Sea total points leader (he & Bjorkstrand def could be 30 G pace Wingers this season). A surprising fact, bottom 6 Winger & fan favorite Brandon Tanev somehow was scoring a lot of goals prior to major injury, believe he for a time was tied for most G in NHL, if he can stay healthy & replicate last seasons scoring pace he could be a 20+ G scorer. RW Eberle, dep on which line & units he's on, could have bit of a resurgence in O production as well (kinda hope he does & that closer to trade deadline he's in demand for PO contenders and Sea retains some salary for quality trade comp).

Based on Development camp, Wright is extremely motivated (arguably too motivated) and def still has work to do developing his game. There's still a very solid chance he spends majority of the year back in Juniors to further develop & refine his game before making more serious step up into regular NHL playing time.

Sea was quite fortunate to retain Jay Leach as an Assistant Coach (D & PK mainly), same Assistant O minded coach & HC, added new G coach, and many folks seem quite happy with the new 3rd Assistant coach they added, don't recall name, but will be a roving coach who helps identity, point out & help correct/adjust things he sees in all aspects of the game for Kraken.

A significant portion of Kraken season will depend on G play not being consistently nearly as poor as last season (and Grubauer staying healthy & able to handle larger work load, and Sea defensively trying to minimize weakest part of game of higher shots on Jones when he plays), how healthy/injured they manage to be in general, and whether Matty Beniers is able to step up to something close to the high expectations put on him as #1 C in 1st full season/significant game action after generating 9 points in 10 games at end of last season. Figure at best they're middle of the pack record wise, most likely IMO is they finish somewhere between #7-#13 worst record/1 Round overall pick position. Obviously winning draft lottery for #1 pick would be a huge boost for Sea, but I'd be almost as happy to land Adam Fantilli with everything else he brings to the table Sea largely lacks. While a good+, true #1 F line big time scoring F would be fantastic, they need a few higher end, potentially pretty good, min top 3 D man but mainly #1 D man & top pairing D man prospects as they don't have much in way of quality nor quantity for young D man & D man prospects yet. Really hoping Sea manages to land an additional 2023 1 Round pick so they can make use of the higher quality & depth scoring abilities F prospect pool & attempt to land future top pairing D man prospect, and maybe in 2 R manage to land a quality G prospect, another top 4 D man prospect & 1 other good prospect at whichever of F & D man is BPA still using 3× 2 Round picks (maybe even using 3 R pick to move up a bit in 2 Round)

  2. I'm more or less in agreement with you. I have them finishing 6th in the Pacific behind San Jose and Anaheim, but I think it'll be tight between Anaheim and Seattle. I'm predicting around 80 points for Seattle. Part of that is just believing that the goaltending won't be dead last in the NHL. Grubauer given his history should be able to be at least a middle of the pack goaltender, so I'm anticipating last year being an outlier and some natural improvement in goaltending. I'm anticipating an extra .5 Goals for per game and .25 less in goals against per game as well, which will help get them to the 80 points.

  3. With all due respect, please consider doing a little more research before posting videos like this one. McCann, not Gourde, had the most goals (and points) last season; Eberle scored as many goals as Gourde. I guess you must have missed the news in early June that Driedger had been injured in the Worlds final and would miss about half of the upcoming season. You don’t even mention the return of Tanev from LTIR.
Your opinions will only carry you so far; your videos would improve with better, more thorough research.
