He's nothing incredibly special, and that's completely fine; but he's a decent option for PP2 QB and can slot in on the PK. Great value.
But when you have a kid come to his hometown favorite team growing up, you bet your ass you're going to get the best of that player. A player that WANTS to be here and will do anything in his power to provide his best on the ice. That's an X factor we can be excited about. Solid depth/6-7 dman with the current blue line corps we have this year.
Night and day compared to last season. Last season he would have been on the second pairing 😂
Now we have a nice competitive blue line:
Leddy-Seider
DK (Oesterle could possibly replace DK aswell) -Hronek
Staal-Stetcher (best defensive metric d pairing last year in the entire NHL)
Lindstrom and Oesterle as extras.
We got hit pretty good last year with injuries/Covid. Well every year there are injuries, so it's nice to know we have some competent, serviceable depth.
