wish dallas won
As a Stars fan this run was a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
Honestly i feel like the 2020 and 2022 finalists mirror each other in lots of ways. They both were heavily reliant on goalie and only got scoring from a couple areas. Aslo ran into superior teams
Corey Perry has a curse.
Bear the Cat was hoping to sleep in this morning… but No, he has to start this talking hockey thing so early in the morning.
Montreal and Dallas. Brothers in arms and sorrow 💙🤍❤️ 💚🤍🖤
Wow I just asked for a finalist vid yesterday. W
As a Stars fan probably the craziest season a team could have had. They started 1-7-1, then got things rolling only for Jim Montgomery to get fired for personal reasons. They host and win the winter classic, then before covid shut everything down they lost 6 straight and didnt look much better in the round robin. But then went on a amazing run to the finals. And the whole season took up the whole calendar year!!!! As the season started October 4, 2019 and ended on September 28, 2020. Just wild.
I find it hillarious that people try and discredit the Tampa cup wins as a leafs fan. If anything the bubble playoffs were even harder to win in than normal because of how little rest there was between games. And you can't discredit any team that gets to the finals, every team that gets there wins 12 games against playoff teams to get there
@The Hockey Guy can you continue the "revisting Stanley Cup Champions" series of videos. I think you stopped at the 2017 Pittsburgh Penguins. Thank you!
I think that Seguin was playing with a torn labrum in his hip if I remember correctly.
Shannon the GOAT 🙂
Awful team. Fans should be happy the Stars made it that far.
The cat staring was hilarious
you should do a video about the teams that had to go through all of the best teams that year but may have won or came up short. This Stars run and the Bolts this year are probably just the tip of the iceberg.
They would've won if they didn't have Perry
So you continues the Finalists playlists..
that's mean we'll get a Corey Perry's Combo right till 2022
2020 Finalist – Corry Perry
2021 Finalist – Corry Perry
2022 Finalist – Corry Perry
I bet he isn't laughing.
Glad this series is back, it’s one of my favourites
How can you not love Pavelski ! I'm not a Stars' but I hope that guy never gets old.
Regardless of what u think of Tampa as pertains to the "well, they didn't play anybody" they still won back to back. And there run this year, even though it ultimately fell short, proved to me there definitely legit. They really proved there mental toughness in that Tornoto series and winning 4 straight against the Rags after going down 0-2. And even though they were obviously banged up and worn down they still put up a decent fight against Colorado who just embarrassed everybody else. Tampa is a great team and belong in that conversation with Pittsburgh, Chicago and LA as the best team of the past 15 years. And Vasilevsky to me gives them an edge against those other teams (though Jonathan Quick was awesome as well during those cup years). That's an interesting topic for a video: which of those 4 teams is the best? I'd love to see somebody do a deep dive to get an answer to that question
Very impressive run from Dallas before the bubble I said a rested Dallas team with bishop can be a problem that wasnt the case as Anton Khudobin was the hero. It hurt me when they beat the Avalanche but them beating them and Vegas proved they were a legit team. Not one of the best finalist but I have a lot of respect for them. Good run and the bubble playoffs were fun
This 2020 shortened season and bubble playoffs feels like it was eons ago…
Too bad this team didn't win it all. Just two wins short. 😠
As an Avs fan living in Dallas (and being a secondary fan of the Stars) I was amazed by that run. A lot of the wrong things happened early, and then a bunch of the right things happened at the right time. I’m still bummed by that Game 7 in the Bubble (I’ve now forgiven Joel Kiviranta), but I was equally bummed that Tampa beat the Stars in the Final. What an amazing year it was.
Kind ov weird how Perry played for 3 Stanley cup finalists and all 3 lost
Perry 3 different teams 3 losing seasons in the scf in a row, is it time for him to retire? Lol I hate that guy
I'm a huge stars fan! I think they are going to drop Klingburg, and they are gonna get some friends from the Scandinavian areas
To me Stanley Cup win Tampa bay were flukes
I was losing my mind during this run, sucks we couldn’t finish with a cup, but a memorable run nonetheless.
I'll remember this run as the play-offs Dal could score at will. Though seeing the summary of the games put together like this suggests they had problems sometimes, but it felt like everything went in, especially vs Avs. I think Dal played well, they earned every series win and the finals vs TB was decent. In beforehand, in the back of my head, I thought this could be a sweep but it wasn't.
An absolutely unreal feeling to win the Winter Classic and then make it to the cup final. Hopefully we can make it back there sooner than later.
Tampa won the Covid cups they can have them wasn’t even a normal hockey seasons
Probably the closest we are going to get for awhile. I was very hyped to get there but it didn’t work out for us.
To me i find it utterly comical that all these avs fans saying tampa played nobody in the last two finals. although they lost to dallas in 7 in 2020 and then lost 4 straight to vegas to blow a 2-0 series lead last year, then vegas goes on to lose in 6 to a supposedly god awful team in montreal because tampa beat them in 5 in the finals. Its debatable who was a tougher opponent between dallas and colorado when it comes to who tampa faced because the situations were different in a few ways. Being a life long wings fan, I just get pissed at how disrespectful avs fans are. taking down such a giant in tampa and not having any respect for them makes me laugh. Its not necessarily that i hate the avs, just their ignorant fanbase.
Can't wait for the MTL video
Great content. More like this please.
Aka the team that crushed my heart and created a MONSTER IN CO
People can say what they want about the 2020 Dallas Stars but they earned that run they went on. They were the 4th best team in the West when the regular season ended. They're were much worse teams who made it to the Stanley Cup than that team. They also beat the 2 teams who were favorite to win the West and even the Cup that year. I do think Colorado and Vegas underestimated them. It was a great run that came up short
Another excellent video! 👏
We are not going HOMEEEEEE
