Temps fort prolongé de l’Avalanche du Colorado aux Stars de Dallas

  1. This was the most complete game colorado has played in my opinion all season against a team who generally takes advantage of colorado just like colorado did to them today. Not only did colorado come out and skate hard but they completely took dallas out of the game with how dallas looks to score. Every time dallas tried to sneak someone from the blue line backside colorado had a guy covering him. Every time Pavelski, Robertson, Radulov, Benn or Saguin tried to unsuspectingly slide away from the line of site to hopefully sneak back into the picture once an overcommitment happended colorado had it locked down and immediately tied up their sticks and it would end up being a harmless puck thrown across the net.colorado beat them to lose pucks, dumped and chased masterfully (the 3rd was a thing of beauty), forced dallas to have to play with the puck and turn it over, cut down dallas through the neutral zone, made easy reads along the boards and got numbers around the puck when dallas would try to cycle. I was so proud of the top line for checking and cycling the way that they did today, Mikko and Gabe did an awesome job of using size and leverage along the wall today and Mack was a little rusty but did his thing for the most part. The attention to detail for colorado today was on another level from the usual and I think we have to give some big love to Bednar, seemed like everything dallas likes to do to beat you was scouted heavily today and completely coached up for. This was Darcy Keumpers best rebound control game by far, he was eating pucks like a mad man and when he wasn't able to he put them to the corners and half walls for almost zero second opportunities today. He also played the puck very admirably today stopping it and giving colorado a better chance to get to the puck first and get there heads turned up ice to evaluate the situation. The d did a tremendous job skating the puck out of bad situations tonight and when it wasn't in the cards just flipped the puck out of harms way, very clinical tonight from the D. The PK did a masterful job tonight too, gave nothing to dallas and didn't let them get the sneaky easy goals they look for. Dallas usually wins with IQ hockey and being elite at capitalizing off of the other teams mistakes. We saw tonight that when you don't give dallas those opportunities and are disciplined in the way you defend them and are aware of the set wrinkles they like to throw in on the offensive side of the puck, they are simply not skilled enough to do any meaningful damage besides some dumb luck goals they might end up getting. The big thing will be for colorado to go out and do it again back home. We'll see if dallas makes some adjustments but Bednar slapped Bowness today in terms of coaching and executing a game plan to the letter.

  2. If Dallas has any chance of making the playoffs, then GET RID OF RICK BOWNESS AND TRADE BENN AND RADULOV! Dallas has been consistently inconsistent for five years now! Every time Dallas gets shutout, it's by 4 or more goals. PATHETIC!

  3. The Stars have the Avs number. They usually beat them at home as well. For the Avs to play this well, def says a lot. They will struggle with Dallas come playoff time. However, it could be their year if they can stay healthy. That's why I love the NHL more than any other sport. It's the most unpredictable league in sports. All one team has to do is make it to the playoffs.

  4. TBL 2 : 3 AVS : I thought lightning had bad day..
but after watching game with stars…
    Avs is unstoppable now ..

  5. As an Avs fan who was there, I was so happy that we kept the crowd dead silent most of the game! What a job by the Avs defense today!! I had a lot of Stars fans come up to me after the game saying they hope we win the Cup this year. Let’s go!

  6. The Avs are continuing their assault on the rest of the league! Nice shutout for Kuemper!! Those Dallas unis are a god awful eyesore though. Looks like something the Oregon Ducks or Seattle Seahawks would wear.

  7. (I know this wont really matter but still.) Refs allowed the Avs player just trip the Stars player and score on the empty net. Dang Refs suck. Not that it would change anything cuz I bet Dallas would have done nill on the pp, but yeahhh Ref is just like (👍) lol.

  8. How in the hell there was no tripping penalty before the EN goal? I'm amazed.

  9. The last goal looked like he was kind of falling even before landeskog stick got him anyway it didn't matter either way outcome would've been roughly the same!!
