I agree with what you are saying, but I do also think you're underestimating Swayman. His numbers aren't ELITE yet, but if you watch him play you will see how outstanding his fundamentals are. He does everything right. He is always in position, an excellent skater, goes post to post effortlessly, great attitute and confidence, hes always composed and in position. Hes got crazy potential. I think Edmonton would love to have him, just would need way more to make a deal for Draisaitl.
As a passionate Oilers fan, I consider Draisaitl untouchable. But, IF I were willing to trade him, it would take a minimum of 3 first rounders, McAvoy, and one of Marchand and Pastrnak.

I feel like hockey fans overrate the importance of a first round pick. Just slapping a first round pick on this doesn’t really make the trade better because your essentially going to use the pick to try and replace Draisaitl, and at best your getting a non lottery maybe 17th overall pick, so the odds of you finding a Draisaitl replacement is very low. You can do it, but it’s not very likely, even in a strong draft class
