I used to despise Jagr when I first started watching hockey 10 years ago. He's become one of my favorite players though. You really have to appreciate his skillset and his longevity. His work ethic is really what's to admire though.

Jags has become an exceptional mentor to the teams younger guys, in particular, Barkov, how the panthers have handled him has been quite smart as well, not just handing him the "C" and pining him as the hope of the team, he is just a teammate, so he can relax, and play his game, without the distraction, of being "the guy" who will win them a cup.
