I feel like this was an overpayment as a Stars fan. I really like Lunqvist and am happy we traded for him but the Rangers got the best possible deal out of this trade they could have asked for.

The Stars get an NHL ready guy they are in win now mode the only thing that would have made this better is if the Stars were able to dump Benn or Seguins contract. They need to compete now though. They have a good team and are only three season removed from a cup final.
